Twice now I have filed transactions and created rules only to check back the following day and the Bank Feeds section is like it was never set up. We recently transitioned to QB desktop and I was not given any specific instructions about saving data. Is there a button I'm missing?
Hi there, @userkassandra-torres.
Allow me to provide some information on moving bank transactions to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
When you convert your file from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Desktop, the unaccepted online banking transactions from QBO won't be imported. That's why it won't save to your QBDT account.
You'll want to import the bank transactions manually to your QBDT account using the WebConnect (.qbo) file. Here's how:
I'm adding this article for more details: Set up bank accounts for Bank Feeds in QuickBooks Desktop.
You might also want to check out this article to learn how to get started with bank feeds in QBDT: Get started with Bank Feeds.
Please keep in touch if there's anything else I can do to help you succeed with QuickBooks. I've got your back. Have a great day!
Greetings, @userkassandra-torres.
I'm back to check if you were able to save your data after importing the bank transactions manually in your QuickBooks Desktop. If you need more clarification on this process, just let me know. I'll be sure to get back to you.
Thanks for coming to the Community, wishing you continued success.
Hi Mark,
Thank you for your insight, however I'm not referring to unaccepted transactions. I did download the .qbo file to import transactions into QBDT. I reviewed and filed all outstanding transactions, and created rules. My ending balance in QBDT tied to the bank account. However, the next day when I logged back in, all that work was gone.
Thank you for your update, Kassandra.
I would recommend, updating your QuickBooks to get the latest fixes. Then, observe for another 24 hours. If the same thing happens, please contact our Support team to check this behavior further.

Hi Jess,
My "Update Now" tab shows it was last checked 11/27/2020 and that the status is "Install pending." However, when I click the "Get Updates" button, it says the update has been completed.
Separately, when I select "Reset Update" and then "Get Updates," I get a pop up that says "Failed to reset update."
