How do I transfer data from my bank account to Quickbooks?

Help has come, @userjoycearead55!

I've got some ideas on how to move your data from your bank account to QuickBooks Online.

First, you can connect your accounts to online banking. This way, QuickBooks will download the data for you automatically.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to the Banking menu at the left pane.
  2. Select Connect Account on the landing page if this is your first time connecting. Otherwise, choose Add account or Link account.

  3. Search for your bank, and then click Continue

  4. Enter the username and password you use for your bank's website in the window.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to proceed.

For more details, please see this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

Another option is to upload your file manually. Please go to this link to get started: How to upload transactions manually into QuickBooks Online.

Then, you can categorize and match your entries. This way, you can ensure you're putting them in the correct accounts and prevent any duplicates.

After that, you can now begin reconciling your accounts to make sure your records are correct.

I'm just a post away if you need more tips about handling your transactions in QuickBooks. I'd be glad to help you some more.
