How do you delete a duplicate copy of Quickbooks online from your account?

Welcome to the Community forum, @kthkeith.

 

You can cancel your duplicate QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. However, the system will automatically delete account and data after a year you've cancelled your account. 

 

To discontinue your subscription, here's what you'll need to do:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the upper-right hand.
  2. Choose Account and Settings
  3. In the left menu, pick Billing & Subscription
  4. Hit Cancel subscription, then Continue
  5. Complete the short survey.

Why doesn’t my account have billing & subscription after I click on Account & Settings. I am using a Mac laptop.

Possibly, you aren't subscribed to Intuit's website directly, but through Apple's App Store or Google Play. That's why you're unable to see the Billing and subscription page. 

 

Another possible reason is you're not logged in as a Company or Master admin, or you've bought QBO through your Accountant wholesale billing. 

 

I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team to verify your subscription. They can also help you switch your billing to Intuit's so you can see the Billing & Subscription option. 

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Click the Help icon, then open the QB Assistant window.
  2. In the Assistant tab, enter the issue/topic like "Billing & Subscription menu is missing."
  3. Click the Get help from a human link. 
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process.
  5. Click Chat or Callback.
