Let me get the help you need in connecting a credit card in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
To get started, you'll have to determine how your bank sends the downloaded transaction. If the transactions download to one account, then only connect the parent account. But if the transactions download to the individual accounts, then you'll have to connect them both..

Thanks MirriamM. I am still a bit confused though because the first explanation is referencing multiple credits cards, but I am trying to understand how to add a replacement card for the same account. It is all the same login information, but the account number has changed as of a certain date. Do I just add a new account from the start date or try to make a sub account? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Hi mallabastro!
I'd be happy to clarify the process.
Since you got a replacement card, you'll want to unlink the previous connection. Then, link the new CC account to the existing CC register, so the transactions will just continue to post in there. However, you may also create a new CC register (account) where you link the card it depending on what you like. But before doing anything, please add or match any pending transactions in the For Review tab coz they will be gone after unlinking your account.

What about for desktop?
Thanks for joining this thread, ohmayra.
When adding a replacement credit card account to your active bank feeds in QuickBooks Desktop, you'll initially need to make sure you've finished matching or deleting all of its downloaded transactions.
Afterwards, you can disconnect the account.
Here's how:
Now you'll be prepared to connect the replacement card with Direct Connect.
