Hi, 9130352551147796.
I'm here to share some troubleshooting as to why transactions are off after the import.
Once we bring in transactions to QuickBooks, we'll have to categorize them into their correct accounts.
You can check this reference for the detailed steps to categorize: Review transactions.
Afterward, try to reconcile the account again.
I'm just around to lend a hand if needed. Take care!
If you are using QBO Simple Start, you won't be able to purge it. You have to open a new blank account and cancel the old one.

I imported the company file from Quickbooks 2016 for Mac. There should be no need to categorize anything into the correct account. The checking register should have opened with the correct reconciliation data.
I want to make sure that you can fix the bank balance that is off, @9130352551147796.
Categorizing the transactions to their correct accounts will help you fix the bank balance that is off. Though, you can purge the company file and re-import it again into QuickBooks Online.
To purge the data, follow the steps listed below:
For more information about this process, check out this article: Delete your data and start over in QuickBooks Online.
Also, when you import your QuickBooks Desktop Mac into QuickBooks Online make sure to compare your financial reports first. This is to ensure that data is copied successfully, just pull up this to reports, Profit and Loss standard, and Balance Sheet standard.

Purge company is not an option with small business online. Cannot get any support from the company. I am going to close my account and try another software product.
You can purchase a 3rd party service to convert data from QBD Mac to QB Online or other cloud based accounting apps if required.
It is absurd that I would pay to have files converted when my 2016 desktop version has worked perfectly for many years with no errors. Is this online software so terrible that I should have to spend money to import a data file?
Which MacOS do you run? QBD Mac 2016 is outdated. You can utilize the trial version of QBD 2019-2022 to migrate data to QBO and compare the result.
Thanks for your suggestions. I am on an Intel Mac running OS 10.14.6. I can run OS 10.15 but no higher. Will QBD 2019-2022 run under my conditions?
You can utilize the trial version of QBD 2019 on Mojave to migrate data to QBO. Another option, upgrade your MacOS to Catalina and you can still purchase the one time license for QBD 2020.
Is it possible to download a trial vision of 2019? Where would I find that link?

Sent. Thank you.
Does your product support QB Desktop for Mac?
