I'm here to provide information about changing transactions from one contact name to another.
In QuickBooks Online, you have the option to reclassify transactions with the incorrect accounts by batch. However, you're unable to switch the transactions from one contact to another.
I believe the more suggestions we received, the easier it is to improve our products. So for this reason, I recommend that you send feedback by clicking the Gear icon and selecting the Feedback option.

How do you reclassify transactions with the incorrect accounts by batch? Thanks
Hello @pino,
Thanks for joining us in the Community. I'm here to share some details about using the tool to correct transactions by batch.
The Reclassify Transactions feature is only available in QuickBooks Online Accountant. The tool allows you to move transactions in batch from one account to another.
I've attached a link below of the video tutorial about reclassifying transactions:

I've also attached a screenshot below for your reference:
Let me know if I can be of additional assistance concerning the feature. The Community is always here to help you out.
Hi,
Does the reclassify transaction function limited to the number of transactions? I noted that GL account with fewer transactions has the "select all" check box available. Unfortunately, the GL account I need to perform the reclassification has hundreds of transactions.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
Hi @pino,
Thanks for getting back to us. I'm here to provide further insights about the Reclassifying tool in QuickBooks Online Accountant.
Yes! The number of transactions you can reclassify by batch should be less than 50. Once they are equal to or exceeds that number, the Select All check-box disappears.
To make sure all your entries will be affected, you need to reduce the date range on the Reclassify Transaction list. This way, the number of the displayed transactions will be lesser.
Here's how:
Check out the link below for more details:
That's it! You should now be able to reclassify your hundreds of transactions.
Feel free to dive back in if you have additional questions. I'll keep an eye out on your response.
Have a great day!
