This may be my next blog post as I am not seeing it happening automatically like it should be. Click gear, acct settimgs, payments, go to merchant services and run a deposit report to see who paid in that deposit. Then-go to + bank deposit to group them. They are listed under the Qb payments arrow.

Hi - is there a way to change the details sent to the bank so the customer information is on the transaction detail? I get “INTUIT PYMT SOLN DEPOSIT XXXX CC ID: XXXX” for every transaction and the numbers “XXXX” doesn’t change.
I can have up to 10 customers paying the same amount each month and I need to log into Merchant Services to see who that may have been around that date and guess (the Merchant Services doesn’t record the date the bank accepts the deposit and only has a funded activity a few days before).
Ideally, I’d like to be able to setup a rule so it will recognize all transactions associated with a customer so I don’t need to investigate each time to match to the correct Customer/invoice/payment.
If not, is there somewhere I can submit a product enhancement request? Thanks!
Thanks for joining this conversation, @jeremyoz.
By default, the transaction details are censored for your account's privacy. We don't have the option to change it for now. But I get your point and its useful effects, and I'm sending your feedback to our developers. These suggestions help us determine improvements needed to make the product more convenient.
I recommend you to visit our Blog site(https://quickbooks.intuit.com/blog/) for the latest updates and additional references while working with QuickBooks.
Please update me in the comment section if you have follow-up questions. I'm still here to help you more.
This is turning out to be a pain for me because I now have an issue where I have to call up clients asking for proof of payment. It doesn't look professional.
Thank you so much for your help!
Hello everyone,
I cannot see this result that you are describing. I click on Settings but I cannot find "Payments" and Merchant Services" at all. On line or mobile. This is annoying. Maybe someone at QB can assist me.
Charles
Hey there, @pturbo
To access the merchant services portal follow the steps below:
1. Choose Gear Icon in the top right.
2. Select Account and Settings.
3. Now choose Payments from the left.
4. If you have a merchant account connected, you'll see the option to open up the merchant center.
Here's a direct link for the Merchant Service Center.
That's all there is to it. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
This is a huge pain for us as well. We are looking into switching platforms because of this.
2+ years and this problem still exists! Awesome job intuit! Keep raking in the profits, price gouging and providing minimal support to your customers.
Its been a nice (hellish) ride for several years but after being told today there are no refunds or any kind compensation for the dozens of hours lost due to this bug (cough "security feature"), I am done!
Good bye QBO! - Hello Invoice Ninja!
Goodbye Indian Standard Time chat support!
Thank you! Your comment really helps me a lot!
2 years later and nothing has been done. still getting ach deposits with no ID! WTF?! horrible design. you;; never get another dime from me quickbooks.
I have tried these steps several times and I still do not see the detail of the deposits. Do I need to be signed into the client account directly instead of through my accountant platform?
We'd want to make sure that you're able to see the details of the deposit, tlrod.
To do that, you will need to log in to the merchant account of the client to see who paid and other information relates to the deposit. I'd be glad to show you how:
I'd also like to share a couple more articles to add more guidance and references:
As always, you can reach out to us again or reply to me if you need anything else. We're always here to help with any QuickBooks-related inquiries.
Hi, I just followed all the steps, but the deposit doesn't appear in the report of the merchant account; any ideas on why?
Thanks for reaching out to us, @kdvc.
I want to make sure you're able to find your deposits in the Merchant Service Center. Before anything else, may I know where you processed this deposit? Is it within QuickBooks or in MSC? Any info will help me out check on this concern.
In the meantime, make sure the report date is correct, at it coincides when the batch was processed. There are also advanced options for you to filter your entries. See this:
Please let me know the result of your search. I'll be right here for the additional details or if you have other concerns with merchant deposits.
I have soooo many issues with QB and want to switch. Do you like Invoice Ninja or is there another program you have used that you would recommend.
Switched to Invoice Ninja hosted. There are some cosmetic issues that I didn't really care about. Other than that it works for me and I'm not feeling EXTORTED anymore by intuit.
Good luck getting your data out of Quickbooks Online (QBO), the export tool has been broken for YEARS and intuit refuses to even acknowledge it (probably was intentional to keep EXTORTING PEOPLE).
