Hi there, Oss.
I'm here to share some information about the new fees in QuickBooks Payments.
We have made pricing plan updates concerning ACH fees and faster funding timeframes. Research conducted found that the free 5 day ACH funding was not meeting the customer’s expectations for speed.
To help the merchants better manage their cash flows, we've launched the Next Day funding for bank transfers with a cost of 1% capped at $10. To learn more about the payment processing fees, you can read this article: What are the fees for QuickBooks Payments?
With regard to the $40 fee, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care Team. This way, we'll be able to pull your account in a safe environment and review your billing history. They'll also be the ones to further explain the new charges for you.
I've also included some references below to know more about the processing time and learn how to check where the fee is coming from and why:

Do you have any other questions in mind? Feel free to leave them below and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Hi Oss,
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about your concern last week. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at anytime.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
I am very upset about this. I called and was told I had no options. I had to pay the 1% fee or $10.00 even though I do not need the funds the next day, and being ok with 5 days, but yet was told I had no choice. The website says "Existing customers can choose". This is a lie. I was told I could not choose and the arrangement was done without my knowledge and I did not see this until I received a payment with a $10.00 charge. I have been with Intuit for 6 years, had the merchant account for 6 years, I have Proseries, Intuit Payroll, Desktop and QBO and this is how you treat a loyal customer ??? My fee for ACH was always $.50. I am now being told that pricing point does not exist. I did not receive an email of the change. I hate big companies - like the cellphone companies, that are so large that the small businesses are of no value and can be hit with huge fees because it can be done! I am looking into Bill.com, Paypal (definitely), Venmo and any others that are loyal and transparent to their clients. Geez ridiculous!
