Join nowHi,
I am running QB Desktop Pro 2019 and I can start the Banking - Bank Feeds - Set up Bank Feed for an Account, but after the 'Bank Feed Setup' window appears asking me for step 1 'Enter your bank's name'. I then locate my banks name and I receive the window 'Manually Import Transactions'.
I can then log in to my account under step 1, but regardless of whether I follow the remaining (3) steps, QB Desktop Pro 2019 never links my pc with my bank account under the 'Bank Feed Setup' window.
And if I try to manually download the Web Connect file and attempt to import it, under file - utilities - import - web connect files... I see a window 'WebConnect Branding" try to go online and verify my bank account then an error appears "QuickBooks is unable to verify the Financial Institution information for this download. Please try again later."
How do I get my bank information into QB Desktop Pro 2019?
Thanks,
Chris in Utah
Hello there, @Chris661.
Thank you for posting in the QuickBooks Community. I'd be happy to help share some troubleshooting steps in getting your bank information into QB Desktop Pro 2019.
What's the name of the bank you're trying to connect to QuickBooks? Did you get an error message while setting up your account for direct connect? It can help me check if there's a reported issue for the same bank.
These errors may be caused by one of the following:
If you get an error message, please check the steps found in this article: Fix OL and OLSU Bank Feeds errors in QuickBooks Desktop.
For the error message "QuickBooks is unable to verify the Financial Institution information for this download. Please try again later." when importing bank feeds via WebConnect, let's try to switch to a Classic mode to perform the same action.

Thanks for chiming in on the conversation, mcmullens321irs.
I'm here to share some insights about the bank connection method in QuickBooks Desktop.
QuickBooks supports two connection methods, Direct Connect and Web Connect. Some banks offer both services while some offer just one.
Direct Connect allows QuickBooks to send information to your FI and download data directly from it. You can also securely download electronic statements to your Bank Feeds.
Web Connect only allows receiving of data through a downloaded file via a web browser.
For Embassy Bank Lehigh Valley, it's possible that they only offer Web Connect.
To verify this, please follow these steps:

That's it. Keep in touch with me if you still need more help with this. I'll be here. Have a great weekend.
This weekend I updated my operating system to Windows 10. After the upgrade connecting to the bank the way i had it set up quit working, It sort of seems like its anIE11 issue, because i tried to connect using IE11 directly and it wont work - I dont typically use IE11 as a browser. What can i do to correct this - It wont let me "see" the log in screen - i never had this issue before.
My bank is Renasant.
