Is there a bug or issue with transaction matching? I've uploaded bank data from December - April (working backwards). The transactions matching was working as expected. I uploaded the November data and none of the transactions before 11/30 are matching. There are two transactions on 11/30 - they matched as expected. anything before 11/30 - not matching. Same for September and October.
This is not a situation where there are many different transactions with the same amount. The amounts are almost all unique and the bank date matches the transaction dates exactly. And again, for all of my data December 1 - April 30, matching worked as expected. There isn't anything different about the September - November data that would cause this. I have to manually click "find match" and look through the transactions to select the correct one - it's like the match functionality just completely stopped working.
Any ideas?

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), there are reasons why you're unable to match your transactions. These are due to the following:
Thus, there are times that if the transactions aren’t the same as the downloaded, QuickBooks won’t find it. And it's you to manually locate and match them, where you can use the Find Match option and search for a possible match. For more information about the process, you can check out this article: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Keep in touch if you have any clarifications or other concerns. I’ll be glad to answer them for you. Have a great day ahead.
Thanks! Though, none of these situations apply. The transactions are not previously matched as this is new bank data, the bank account is the same, the date and amount are the same, and the transactions are not already reconciled.
Any transaction from September 1 - November 29 aren't matching but nearly all the transactions November 30 - April 30 match. This isn't a simple matter of a date or amount being wrong. 3 months worth of transactions are not matching. Is there any other explaination? There seems to be some artificial cutoff at November 30.
I'd be glad to help you today, @mark1700.
Bank Feeds will only match transactions within the last 180 days of the current system date.
The system will not automatically look for a match on downloaded transactions that are more than 6 months (180 days) old. In this case, you'll have to find a match for the transactions.

Let me know if you have further questions. Have a good one!
I have had this problem repeatedly - it is so good to find out that the issue is because I am trying to match transactions over 180 days old. I wish more of your support persons were aware of this - it would have saved lots of us time and energy trying to figure this out.
That said, why does it only go back 180 days? One full year seems more reasonable. I have quite a few clients who are small businesses that only drop their stuff at year-end. I guess we will have to change the way we do things because of this little annoyance.
Hi Akip,
I had this same problem. I found that if I filtered by the month I was reconciling then QBO would automatically suggest/find matches again. I was an accidental find, but it seems to be working for me.
Hi Matt,
I'm having the same problem with a check from March not showing a match - Can you explain what you did by filtering the transactions by month.
Thanks
Hello, @dtheoharides.
I'm joining the thread to share some insights about this bank entry matching concern.
When you want to match previous month's data, filter the date of the transactions. Here's how:
Once you have the transactions filtered, check if you can click the Match option. If not, click the transaction and manually click the Find match option. See this:
