When an account is canceled, QuickBooks Online will continue to provide your data in a read-only format for a year. Within that period, you can export it to Excel or to the desktop version to keep a copy. You can use the trial version for QBDT to transfer your file.
The file will be available once you resubscribe since we preserve it for 365 days. Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon at the top to select Account and Settings under Your Company.
- Tap the Billing & Subscription menu on the left panel to view your subscription.
- Hit the Resubscribe button and enter your billing information.
- Then, choose the Subscribe button.
Once done, check the Next charge and make sure it’s not from the past. Follow the steps in this guide and proceed directly to Part 2-important step section: How to resubscribe or reactivate QuickBooks Online.
If you’re still unable to see the banking information or other transactions, I recommend reaching out to our QBO Care Team. They have tools to identify why the data is gone and help you in retrieving it.
Here’s how to contact them:
- Click on the Help icon at the top to open the QB Assistant window.
- Then, choose how you want to reach out to our support team: Ask a question or Talk to a human.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to continue.
For more insights about the availability of your file and export policies after cancelation, see the following guide: What happens to my QuickBooks Online data after I cancel?
Reach out to me if you have any other concerns or clarifications. I’m more than happy to answer them for you. Have a good one.
