Before I joined Quickbooks, and one on the reasons I choose to pay this much, is that it auto syncs with your credit cards, banking and PayPal. I was told this by a person at QB
But my account won't sync with Capital One or PayPal, and in chat (which literally took more than an hour of my time and got zero help on it), the person finally said, sorry you need to manually upload.
I don't want to manually upload. That isn't what I am paying for.
And trying to get any other sort of customer support with Quickbooks (email or phone), doesn't work. This is a huge company that makes a lot of money off its services. And I would like to have them work or have them fixed.
Anyone else have issues like this? I have to turn to the community because you can't get a hold of anyone at the company.
I've got some troubleshooting steps to help you sync your accounts in QBO, @AndreaNYC.
Let's make sure that you can log in to your Capital One and PayPal account outside QuickBooks Online (QBO). I also recommend reaching out to them to determine if they are having any maintenance issues. Once confirmed, let's manually update the connection of your accounts in QBO using a private browser.
Here are the shortcut keys you can use:
Once signed in, refer to these steps to update:
If this works, let's clear the cache of your regular browser. If the same thing happens, you can use another supported browser. It could be that the one you're currently using has a temporary issue with QuickBooks.
If the issue persists, please visit this page to help you manually upload transactions to QBO: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. Then, once transactions are in, you'll now need to match and categorize them inside QBO.
Also, it's best to consult with our technical support team to investigate the root cause of the issue. To do so, head to the Contact Us page at this link.
Let me know how this goes and feel free to post a reply below. I'm always here to help. Have a good one.
Yes, everything is working -- can log into both. My issue is that it won't let me do it with QB. When I did contact us (and the only option is chat), the technical person couldn't figure it out. And was basically like, you are going to have to just do manual uploads every time, which seems ridiculous, if I am paying for this service.
Allow me to chime in and share an update about the sync of PayPal and Capital One, AndreaNYC.
I've checked and there are several investigations under these two applications in QuickBooks. These could be the reasons why the auto-sync isn't working at the moment.
For now, you can download transactions using a CSV file from these two applications. Then, manually import them to QuickBooks.
Once transactions are downloaded on the Banking page, you can start matching and categorizing them.
Meanwhile, I recommend getting back in touch with our QuickBooks Live Support Team. I know you've already contacted them. However, they can add your account to the investigation so you'll receive updates about the issue via email.
Here's how to contact them:
