Buy nowThe update button is missing from my banking tab and has been for a couple of weeks. It seems to update automatically about once a day, but it isn't catching the most recently available data which is just annoying. I reported it to Intuit and they said they were working on it, but it doesn't seem like it should be taking this long. Is anyone else having this issue?
I know how this process takes time when you're unable to download bank transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO). We'd want to make sure that we get this sorted out, WarMaid.
I've checked our records and there's no reported case where the Update button is missing from the Banking page. To better isolate this issue, let's try some basic troubleshooting tests to figure this out. Open a private browser and go to the Banking page to check the Update button. The private mode prevents the cache from being retained while the website is operational, which may cause problems. Here is a list of shortcut keys you can use to access one:
If this works, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache to refresh the background process of your browser settings. But, if the same thing happens, use another supported browser.
You can also get transactions from your bank or credit cards and manually import them into QuickBooks Online (QBO). Just follow the steps and details in this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. Here's an article you can refer to check the format of the CSV file you got from your bank to upload transactions to QuickBooks.

Thanks! Opening in private worked and now I'll try the Cache clearing. (Not sure why there's no record of my report, I chatted with someone online for quite awhile, but glad it's fixed anyway!)
I am having this same problem, but going into a protected mode did not help. I still can't see it. I can see my account listed in the Banking menu, but no option to update. If I select Manage Selections, it says I don't have anything linked and if I Link the account, it opens a new account instead of giving me the option of using the one I have already.
The banking menu shows my QB balance and a zero balance for the bank balance. Also says it is updated as of 11/2020, but I have imported transactions through 3/13/23.

We still have the issue on ONE of our clients out of the FIFTY we have on our accounting firm QBO. We have tried clearing the cache, opening it in all the different platforms (chrome, edge, firefox) and this is still not working. This is getting real frustrating because we have to go to the bank to download these transactions right now. I tried to chat regarding this and it takes forever, and we don't even bother calling or emailing because that never works. We are an elite level pro-advisor so this gets even more frustrating when we have issues like this.
Your patience and the steps you've already taken to troubleshoot the problem are valued, Marcycpa. I'll route you to the appropriate support for assistance to ensure you can update your bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO) instead of doing it manually.
