Join nowA manually entered Visa transaction has not been deposited to our account that took place over a month ago. The person making the payment to us advises the charge has posted to his account and that, a few days after our transaction, his card was replaced due to fraud. We use QB desktop for Windows. How can we get the amount deposited to our account? We have the transaction ID, etc.

Thanks for the clarification, M Olinger.
If you're brand new to QuickBooks Payments, your payments will take a bit longer during your first month. We can check your deposits for the previous month to verify the deposits:
If you're still unable to see it, you can reach out to our Merchant Services Team so they can help you track the deposit from the transaction ID you have.
I'll be adding this article that you can check out on how to receive and process payments in QuickBooks Desktop.
Just mention me in your reply so I can walk you through and help you with your questions. Have a good day!
Hello there, M Olinger.
If the transaction was made outside QuickBooks, you can manually record the deposit and use a new account that was used for the deposit. Let me show you how to create an account:
Then, you can create a bank deposit. If you're using QuickBooks Payments, you can use this link on how to take and process payments: Recording QuickBooks Payments bank deposits FAQs.

Thanks for the reply Catherine. To clarify, the transaction was made within QB and the money has not made it to the bank so it is not a recording issue. I used the Sales Receipt link from the home page and entered the CC information. It accepted it and I can select the View Payment receipt and view the particulars including the transaction ID. Normally, when I later select the Merchant Service Deposits icon from the home page, it connects to Intuit Merchant Services and records the deposit that has occurred.
The problem is that the deposit has not occurred although the customer says it has posted to his account. With a transaction ID available one would think I could track it somehow.
Thanks for the clarification, M Olinger.

Catherine...thanks for leading me to those reports. Turns out there had been a double posting, for which I cannot explain. Been using QB for 16 years and never had such an issue so thanks again. Much appreciated...Mark
