When I select Banking from the left menu, there is no option to add account. It is all just advertisement...Quickbooks Cash, Capital, Business credit, and PPP center.

I'd be pleased to help you add an account in QuickBooks Online, mackeinstitute.

To be able to add an account in QuickBooks, you'll need to close the advertisement by clicking the X sign or the No thanks option. Once done, you can follow the step-by-step process below in adding your bank:

1. Click Banking in the left panel.
2. From the Banking page, select Link account.
3. Search for your bank. You can connect most banks, even small credit unions.
   
4. Select Continue. Enter the username and password you use for your bank's website in the window.
   
5. Follow the onscreen steps to connect. Your bank may require additional security checks. It may take a few minutes to connect.
6. Chose the bank or credit card accounts you want to connect (savings, current, or credit card). You should see all of your available accounts at your bank or credit card company.

However, if you're still unable to see the option to add the account, you can press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page. If you're still getting the same result, we can do some of the basic troubleshooting steps.

You can use these shortcut keys depending on the browser you're using:

• Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
• Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
• Mozilla Firefox: Press CTRL + Shift + P.

Once signed in, go back to your banking page and add the account from there. If it rectifies the issue, go back to your main portal and clear its cache to remove the browser's history or you can press CTRL+Shift and Delete key on your keyboard altogether. You may also try accessing your account using another supported browser.

Once imported, I recommend editing, assigning, and categorizing your transactions. Also, you can match them to the existing entries in the software. Just go to the For Review tab from the Banking menu. Doing so will help you ensure the accuracy of your financial records.

I've got all the steps you'll need to get your account connected.

Currently, you're in Business View setup. I'll guide you on how to add an account based on your current settings. Here's how:

1. Go to the Bookkeeping tab.
2. Choose Transactions.
3. Select Connect account.
    

If you prefer the QuickBooks Online Accountant's View setup, you can follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online Account .
2. Click Settings ⚙.
3. Choose Switch to Accountant view.
   
   After that, you can connect your bank account from the Banking menu that you're referring to.

I cannont x out of the ads or say no thank you

There are times when the browser is clogged with frequently accessed page resources, resulting in errors or unusual responses. To resolve the issue, I recommend performing some troubleshooting steps.

To begin, open an incognito window and log into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Since it does not store data in the cache, it is an excellent tool for isolating browser-related issues. The keyboard shortcuts are as follows:

Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P
Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
Safari: Command + Shift + N

Then, let's try to remove the advertisement once more or select the "say no thank you" option. If that works, let's delete the cache in your browser to start afresh. If not, use one of the other supported web engines.

this is still a problem.  I can not get into the checking account to sync with my bank.
