Why all of a sudden are my bank transactions not displaying in Quickbooks? Bank connection seems fine. Everything was importing fine until March 1st. Now none of those are displaying, even after I hit Update.

Hello, my transactions were uploading fine from my bank to QB until March 1st.  Even after manually hitting the update button they are not displaying.  There is no error code so am not sure what is happening.  I followed instructions to reconnect with my bank and now have duplicate accounts ( I believe my bank changed names but still the same institution.)  The new account shows the transactions from March 1. Not sure what to do!

I appreciate you for laying out the details of your concern. Jo. Let me share information to help you manage online bank transactions, so you can get back to business seamlessly.

Beforehand, may I know what banking institution is connected to your QuickBooks Online account? Any additional information would help us check any similar cases and verify if there's an issue with the bank. Please know that disconnecting and reconnecting bank accounts in QuickBooks should be considered as a last resort when troubleshooting this situation, which results in duplicates of your downloaded entries.

Since you can't find the entries, I recommend checking out these areas on the Banking page:

  • First, navigate to the For Review tab in QuickBooks. This tab is where recently downloaded transactions are stored. If you locate the missing transaction, assign it to an appropriate account category. Keep in mind that transactions will not appear in your books until they have been categorized.
  • Next, check the Categorized tab. This tells you what happens to transactions you already categorized. Specifically, review the Added or Matched column. This tells you which account you categorized the transaction into. If you find your missing transaction, but it's in the wrong account, follow these steps to unmatch and move it.
  • Finally, check the Excluded tab. If you mark a transaction as personal or a duplicate, it goes here. QuickBooks won't add excluded transactions to your accounts. If you want to include it, select Undo from the action column. Then go back to the For review tab and categorize it into the correct account.

I'm including this reference for more detailed insights: What to do if you can’t find downloaded transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, for duplicate transactions, you can either delete or exclude the transaction to avoid any reconciliation issues in the future. Excluding them won't allow transactions to show up again in your bank feeds. Please refer to this guide for the detailed step-by-step process: Exclude a bank transaction you downloaded into QuickBooks Online.

If the issue persists, as a workaround, you can manually upload your entries into QuickBooks Online (QBO) to ensure that they are recorded properly. This method provides a viable solution to maintain the accuracy and completeness of your financial records in QBO, despite any technical or connectivity problems.

Once everything comes in handy in the future, you can start categorizing and reconciling your accounts to make sure they always match your bank and credit card statements.

I'll always be around in this thread if there's anything else you need further assistance with when managing bank transactions in your account. Just reply to this post, and I'll make sure to get you covered. Keep safe!

My transactions under “categorized” are not loading when I try to click “next page” it will still display page one’s transactions even though I’m on page two.

This has been a problem for weeks and it seems nothing has been done to fix it!!
