Are you trying to connect a bank account in QuickBooks Self-Employed? If you are, when searching for your financial institution do you see multiple bank names in the search field? If so, you'll want to try all the options matching your bank's name and check to see if you're able to connect the account.
Here's how:
You can also search using the bank website's URL if you're still unable to find the bank by name: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Please let me know if you're referring to something else. I'll be around to help you some more. Take care and stay safe.
Hello,
I have a bank connected. Im waiting for the deposit to be released. It still shows "withheld". Going on weeks now, I submitted all requested information to QB within 30 minutes of request. That was over a week ago and still no word from anyone.
Thanks much
have you received my reply?
Thanks for getting back to us, @bucksbarranch.
When a transaction/deposit is displaying a withheld status, this means that Intuit is holding the funds and conducting a review on them. You'll receive an email notification explaining what all we need to move forward. This will be sent to the contact email address on file.
If you aren't seeing any emails about it in your inbox or spam folder, I highly suggest contacting our Merchant Support team. They have tools that can pull up your account in a secure environment and investigate the cause of this odd behavior.
Please refer to this article for the detailed steps on how to reach them: Contact Payments Support.

I'm experiencing the same frustration. I changed my bank account 3 weeks ago and it shows active in my Merchant account, yet ALL of my deposits are withheld and I cannot reach anyone. I have messaged, emailed, and requested calls back and no one will call me! I need my money.
Hello there, Highland Gammill.
The funds will be deposited within five business days after your first payment if you're new to this. The process of your first deposit takes a bit longer because we need to set up your merchant account and may include the new connected bank account. Once done, your payments will deposit quicker within two business days. For additional reference, please check this article: Why are my funds on hold?.
If it's beyond the expected date and still the funds haven't deposit yet, I'd recommend contacting our payment support to investigate this further. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment and be able to provide you with an accurate reason for this matter. Also, they can help you fix the unlinked account that's showing active in your merchant account.

Quickbooks merchant account is horrible when it comes to withheld deposits. Employee who was an merchant account "owner" left organization and Intuit doesn't have any reasonable solution to solve problem of withheld deposits in situation so called owner is not available. This is so wrong. Won't refund back to client and won't deposit without authorization from the former employee who is no longer employed. Flash news - this is not this person business and this should a last person to be able make a financial decision on the behalf of organization. Everything goes back to merchant account not allowing to transfer account authorization to different employee. Imagine closing bank account each time when company changes authorized signor. That's what QB wants you to do each time there are personal changes in organization. Close merchant account and open a new one. Well, there is one problem.... What to do with account when you keep for weeks and months deposits that you do not want to deposit into company checking account without authorization from former employee who happened to be in the past "principal officer" on the merchant account.
I appreciate you sharing your concerns here in the Community, @Cristo.
There are things that we will need to figure out why it is happening on your end. With that, I would suggest contacting our payment support as they take charge of handling this kind of situation. This way, they can further investigate and open your account in a safe environment. This is to ensure that the right information will be given to you.

Same problem. I used QB payments to process a handful of payments. The first one was completed with no issues. The second and third appeared to be the same until roughly 5 days after the payments were initiated. The day I was suppose to receive the deposit I tried to login to my payments account only to find out it had been closed with no notice or explanation. When I looked at the status of the deposits they now both showed as withheld. I've been trying to contact support regarding the issue for almost 2 weeks now. Everytime I finally am able to talk to a representative they have either told me I need to contact a different department or that they'll escalate my case and I will get an email about it within a couple days. Have yet to receive said emails. I've talked to my customer about the charges and they have provided proof that both transactions had been withdrawn from their bank account within a couple days of when they were initiated. So essentially quickbooks is just keeping my money with no explanation or notice and no way for me to be able to remedy the issue. There's no possible way that this is legal. It's nothing short of theft honestly.
Hi there, st3ns0n91.
I believe this is a duplicate post and my colleague already provided an answer. Here's a link for more details: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/other-questions/re-quickbook-deposits-withheld/01/...
Please don't hesitate to reach us back for other concerns. We'll be here to help. Enjoy your day.
st3ns0n91,
Were you able to resolve this? If so, can you explain how? I have about 8 hours of calls logged with the merchant service center spread over 7 calls over a period of 19 days. I have a legitimate construction business with a large draw being withheld for no apparent reason. This wasn't my first time using payments to deposit funds from an invoice, and I provided all documents they needed to verify my account the same day of request which occurred one business day after funds cleared my clients account. What is concerning me is that I have been told (3) times now that my case has been escalated with no resolution. The communication is vague from Quickbooks at best and they will not communicate via email.
