Good day, @cwright2.
I understand the impact of any delays in depositing funds to your business.
Usually, funds reach your deposit bank account within 2-3 business days. This is because it varies depending on the time of day you enter transactions, which financial institution you choose for transactions to be deposited in, and how long it takes your bank to verify and process electronic deposits.
Just in case, you can contact the QuickBooks Payments Support Phone Team if the payment is still not deposited within the given length of time.
I've got you an article that can help you learn more about the delayed deposit in QuickBooks: Why are my funds on hold?.
You can also check out this link to help you find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits your money.
I'll be here if you have additional questions. Have a great day!
Hi cwright2,
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about the deposits concern you had yesterday.
Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
I received customer payment on the 06/24/21. Today is 06/29/21, and the money still hasn't been deposited into my account.
3 to 4 days seems a bit too long, but this transaction is going on to day 5.
There's no excuse for this.
Hello, GHoskins.
It's nice to have you join us in the Community. I'm here to point you in the right direction for the amount of time that it takes to reach the funds into your account.
Generally, if a customer made a payment through a credit card, it takes 1-2 business days to reach your bank. However, bank transfers (ACH) payments can take 2-7 business days. These also vary depending on the following factors:
I'm including an article with additional insight on this: How Long Does It Take for Funds to Reach My Bank Account?
Also, to learn more about next-day deposit, you may check this article: Next-day deposits for QuickBooks Payments. On the other hand, you can also check this article for more information about QuickBooks Payments deposits: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits your money.
Additionally, you can get in touch with our Customer Support Team. They can access account information in a secure space and extra tools to look over the status of your transaction.
Know that we're always here if you have other questions. Stay safe!
Why do I have to wait so long for deposits to clear. What good is using Quickbooks payments if you have to wait a week for payment.
I completely agree. I had an online payment that took seven days to clear. Mail would have been faster. It makes the process not only expensive to me ($10 fee) but painful and uncertain as well
hi does anyone know how long it takes for a transfer from quickbooks cash to appear in my bank account takes ?
I've come to provide details on when a QuickBooks Cash transfer will appear on your bank account, @salmaz.
The money movement of the transfer from your QuickBooks Cash accounts depends on how fast your external bank process it. This usually takes 2-5 business days. You can get more information about this by visiting this article: Learn more about QuickBooks Cash accounts and the Cash Flow menu.
You may also want to reach out to our Payment support team to verify the status of the transfer.
Categorizing your QuickBooks Cash transactions to ensure they belong to the correct account is easy. To do this, you simply need to go to the Banking page and categorize them from there.
In case you have other concerns about how long the QuickBooks Cash transfers appear on your bank account, let me know in the comments below. I'll be glad to help. Take care always, @salmaz.
Quickbooks is using your money to beef up their overnight reserves. This way they do not have to borrow money to meet their reserve requirements. My client pays his bill immediately and I do not see the money for 5 DAYS!!! Yet my clients account is debited the full amount. Verification is done immediately. All the crap quickbooks says is just that CRAP! They are using your money and they do not want to pay you to use it. I am looking for other ways to get payment than to pay Quickbook stupid high rates just to transfer money and then steal its use from me for 4 to 5 days. DOWN WITH QUICKBOOKS. FINED ANOTHER WAY TO GET PAID.
YOU ARE CORRECT there is no reason for such delays except that Quickbooks is using your money to beef up their overnight reserves without paying you for use of your money. THIS IS A CRIME THAT CONGRESS SHOULD PUT A STOP TO.
It is because Quickbooks is using your money to beef up their overnight reserves. THIS IS A CRIME THAT CONGRESS SHOULD PUT A STOP to. You should be paid for the use of your money. THIS IS STEALING. It is a lie that it takes 5 to 7 days to verify funds. Quickbooks thinks you are a fool. I AM LOOKING FOR OTHER COMPANIES TO DO BUSINESS WITH.
Let us know if you find a better way.
3 days I wish! I am on day 7 and the funds still aren't available in my account. The convenience of processing money thru Quickbooks payments has really been outweighed by the EXTREME amount of time it takes for money to post to my account. My most recent client made payment on 10/1 its 10/8 and still no money. Come on QuickBooks you can do better. You are already making enough money on all the services you provide. Stop holding up the money of small businesses.
Yep I don’t like the time lines either as their (QuickBooks) transaction SOP’s seem to be outdated by 8 yrs.
about to drop QuickBooks and go in a different direction.
Waiting for 5 days for money to deposit. Now stays reads that it can’t show payment information at this time.
Unacceptable. I’m cancelling the subscription. In 2021 this shouldn’t happen….period.
I am having the same problem at this current moment. In 2022, this should not be the case for businesses to received customers payments 7 days later.
I moved from Desktop to online on Jan 1, 2022 and they gave me a new Merchant account number. Ever since then, every deposit made has taken 7 days. I can’t get an answer from anyone. It’s killing our cash flow. Does anyone have any other resources we can use to receive payments electronically besides Merchant services? This is ridiculous!
Thanks for joining the thread, @JasperContracting. I've got some information you need so you’ll be able to fix this issue with deposit in QuickBooks Online.
About this matter, being able to receive payments electronically is exclusive to QuickBooks Online Merchant Services. However, you can consider looking for a third-party app in QBO. Here’s how:
Additionally, I'm adding these articles that can guide you in managing your payments:
Stay in touch if you have any other questions or concerns about payments in QBO. I’ll be right here to answer them for you. Enjoy the rest of the day.
You mentioned you have information to fix the issue. I don’t see anything relevant to fixing it.
I have the same problem on desktop. My client has paid with a credit card, but the funds have not appeared in my account. 10 plus days now. I have called support and get passed from one person to the next. This has consumed multiple hours of my day. Is there a fix? Looking into switching to another company.
I know this hasn't been easy for you, txinspectsteel.
We appreciate your patience in taking the time to contact our support team to follow up on the funds for your client's credit card payment.
I've forwarded your complaint to my team, and someone will contact you shortly to discuss your case further. I recommend periodically checking your email or your Community profile to see their recommendations.
If you have other QuickBooks concerns, please don't hesitate to post again here. We're happy to help you.

You may consider having a 3rd party merchant service to integrate with QBO/QBD.
Unfortunately mine still isn’t resolved. Every single payment this year takes a full week to receive. It’s been over 5 months now. All I am told from support is there is nothing they can do.
This is not true. It seems to take 7 to 8 days each time we receive a payment through QB. I wish I had done research prior to choosing this option. So far, very unimpressed.
