Are there any affordable, All-in-One Printers that have accurate OCR capabilities that can scan my paper invoices (which I have created on the jobsite for customers), import into QBO, attach the scanned file, and then create an INVOICE in QBO (Not an Expense/Bill) to email to my customers so that they can pay electronically?
I only ever see printers, scanners, and apps with the ability to create an EXPENSE/BILL from a paper invoice, but the paper invoices that I scan are not EXPENSES/BILLS, they are my customers INVOICE for them to pay me.
I'm not looking for apps or document scanners right now unless I can't find a printer. My preference would be to have 1 tool to do it all....An all-in-one printer, scanner, copier, fax.
Thanks in advance!!
Hello there, @SDavito.
We recognize the importance of your query and want to provide the information you need to address your concerns. Know that we only offer QuickBooks subscriptions to our customers and that we don't have printers that can scan invoices to let you import them and create an invoice inside the program. That said, you may want to look for a printer that offers the features that you need. Rest assured. It's compatible with the program. In addition, we've got these articles to help you manage invoice payments and ensure your data stays accurate once you acquire a printer:

Yes, I know QB doesn't sell printers. I'm not looking for a QB Branded Printer, just for one that integrates with QBO.
Since you don't have a solution, Can you please reach out to someone (possibly from the Intuit Developer Group or another division that works with strategic partnerships and/or 3rd party developers) who may have an answer for me? The Developer Group may be aware of a printer that uses a 3rd party printing app with the ability to do what I am seeking.
Hello there, SDavito
Let me share some details and point you in the right direction for assistance.
I can imagine how important it is for you to find information about an All-in-One printer with a third-party printing app that can integrate with QuickBooks Online to streamline and ensure the accuracy of your invoicing process.
However, you can discuss this concern about the all-in-one printer in a separate forum. You can use this link to get there: https://developer.intuit.com/app/developer/homepage?_ga=2.179902368.529496139.1693569866-1585251888.....
Once you get there, you can click the Community option at the upper part of page. Then, choose whether you want to Read the blog for the new updates, or Join a forum with the other app developers.
I'm always available if you need additional assistance with this or any other QuickBooks issue. Simply reply to this thread. Take care and have a wonderful day!
Wouldn't a mobile printer that prints on the job site solve the problem? There's no need for a scanner if you do everything in QB and print the new invoice? There's no need to create a manual invoice.
Welcome to the Community forum, @RGPALACIOS. I'll make sure to address your questions one by one to clarify the benefits of using QuickBooks Online and Printers.
You're right. Using a mobile printer or connecting any other printer to your device on the job site will help you to get a copy of an invoice conveniently. You can then give it to your customer.
There's no need for a scanner if you use QuickBooks. This program allows you to create and email invoices by entering your customer's email and selecting Save and send. It includes the feature to print them directly through the Print or Preview option on the template's footer.

This should answer your question about using a mobile printer and the invoice feature of QuickBooks. If you need help managing payments, let me know. Have a great day ahead.
