eBay Managed payments stopped updating

I am open to any option that gets my accounting back on track. Within reason of course.

 

I've lost track now, but I think I'm coming up on a month now where QBO isn't pulling my ebay data, but I was still billed for the month.

 

I would be more ok with this if it wasn't for the fact that only on the community forums does anyone acknowledge the problem even exists, where no one on the phone support can give me any straight answers.

 

I really hope the back end engineers are truly fixing this and this is not just a blow off answer.

Just got an email from intuit stating the problem / error was fixed, tried all my office computers and it appears the issue is not resolved.

 

Case Number 

 

The above case number was mentioned so not sure if that helps. 

 

Reaching out to confirm the problem is NOT fixed and still very much an issue.

 

Looking forward to any help / assistance as this problem has gone on far too long and I'm still being billed each month for Quickbooks Online, despite not actually getting any accounting done.

Since your managed payments from eBay still aren't updating after our Product Investigations team has marked the investigation as solved, I'd recommend continuing to get in touch with our Customer Care team. You'll want to reference the investigation's case number (INV-72302) and notify the agent you're working with that the issue's still occurring on your end.

 

They can be reached while you're signed in.

 

Here's how:

  1. Use the Help (?) icon.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Enter a brief description of your situation in the What can we help you with? area, then click Let's talk.
  4. Select Get a call or Start messaging.

Yes, I can certainly check on the investigation status for you, @sulu7.

 

All accounts appear to be updated and connected properly now. And the issue is now closed and resolved. I suggest reaching out to our Customer Support department. This enables them to check if they have the correct email on file. Here's how to contact support:

 

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click on Help (?).
  3. Choose either tab to start:
    • Assistant: Get fast, personalized responses. Choose a suggested option, or type in your concern. If you need more help, you can choose to Talk to a human.

Search: Navigate the QBO knowledge base directly, or choose Contact Us and select a way to connect with us:

  • Start a chat 
  • Get a callback 
  • Ask the community

Also, note their support hours to ensure they're available to assist.

Got mine working again for about three weeks or so. Now for no reason whatsoever it is broken again. I have removed the app and added it back waited a couple days nothing has updated. This is beyond frustrating as GoDaddy bookkeeping closed down and highly recommended QuickBooks for its eBay customers. Surely a company as big as QuickBooks can figure out a solution to the an integration for an app they created.

The exact problem you mentioned seems to be the focus of another investigation. Rest assured that our engineering team is aware of this problem and working diligently to resolve it as quickly as possible.

 

In the meantime, I suggest getting in touch with our QuickBooks Online Support team. They'll collect more information from you about your transactions. And include your account on the list of users that are affected. Additionally, you'll get an email notification if there are any developments regarding the case.

Just responding to those who jumped on here.

 

Same boat as you guys, I even went ahead and created a whole VM on my server just to make 100% sure it's not cookies or caches or anything. Every time I reach out to tech support they have me pretty much "reset" my browser each time, and nothing. So took it one step further. Fresh VM = same as a brand new computer out the box.


Same problems. I truly miss GoDaddy and how excellent of an experience they gave me in comparison to this transition. 

 

Lets all stick together and hopefully Quickbooks will hear us complain and get this resolved. I'm sure you guys are all as upset as I am paying more money than GoDaddy, but getting much much less.

 

Thank you to all the support people who have jumped in so far, and have added valuable information & not just told me "It is not our problem it is eBay", I know you guys can't fix this directly but you're trying.

Thanks for the response. I have already spoke with support multiple times and have not received any updates via email over the last few months. Do we know exactly what they think the problem is. This seems like it could be fixed much faster than months of troubleshooting.

The part that is frustrating about their "its eBay's issue" is the app is theirs and was built by them. The support page for the app lists Intuit not eBay.

When was it tagged as resolved? 

 

At the beginning of the month I was told it was resolved, and it was, but only for 2 or 3 days. Then the problem came back just the same as before. 

 

I reached out and was told they would reopen the issue, but since then had a lot of run arounds with the representatives either:

 

a. Having no idea what I'm talking about (including them not even acknowledging the case existed in the first place)

 

b. Said the problem was fixed, and had me "santize" my browser again

 

c. Tell me it was being worked on.

 

I was just to want to clarify which issue you are seeing tagged as fixed, as I got off the phone with them earlier and was told the problem was still open.

Me too & today error again. So frustrating. I can see part of the problem. In eBay payments app settings. When it’s not working, it says eBay seller id unknown. When it works, our business name shows.

I miss godaddy so much. We didn’t have to add the payee name to each expense, shipping labels were automatically in their own category, I could sort by customer name, etc. i don’t think it’s too much to expect this from a paid service (paying more). If godaddy just raised their price, instead of shutting down bookkeeping, I would’ve happily paid. So many wasted hours on this = $$$$.

Just hopping on to confirm the exact same information as you. Worked yesterday for a bit, now today I can't pull the new data.

 

Also your observations are the same as mine. The business name shows up when things are going to work, but says unknown when it is broken. Though, this time around, my business name is showing up, but no transactions. 

 

Once a week at this point I disconnect and reconnect the app again as that has worked once or twice in the past, but not reliably and consistently. 

 

I have been reached out by a Advanced Case Management member, so hoping to get more insight. I will share with the community if I come up with anything of value.

 

As much as I have complained on here, I do want this to work as Quickbooks is otherwise a good piece of software (when it works). Would just be great to have a final and permanent resolution to this matter.

Mine is broken again. No rhyme or reason but this is getting ridiculous. QuickBooks please fix your app and take this issue seriously. Paying for a service that does not work is not fun month after month.
