eBay Payments Stopped Working Again

I've eye balled that a few times and not sure. I'm nervous to start playing with things and breaking something else. The individual I'm working with is helpful so far, so I'm willing to wait to see what he says.

For all we know, this new tab could be the "evolution" of the "failed" ebay app.

Looking promising though! and makes it feel like a real solution as opposed to a "plugin" for QBO

eBay Payments Stopped Working Again

Hello, WaitingStill.

Yes, you can connect E-bay (sales channel) to QuickBooks Commerce. There are important reminders in connecting with this.

  • Look over the eBay product SKUs first. SKUs are used by QuickBooks Commerce to identify and match inventories. It aids in order management and helps you keep your inventory current.
  • Make sure each product and its variants in your eBay account have unique SKUs.

Next, let's Install eBay in QuickBooks Commerce. Please keep in mind that if you sell in various countries, you must connect the corresponding eBay sales channels to QuickBooks Commerce. You can then figure out where your orders are coming from. For instance, you would need to link each site separately if you already sell on eBay.com, eBay.sg, and eBay.fr. Each country should have its own sales channel.

  1. Go to Browse Apps and then, Select eCommerce.
  2. Click eBay.
  3. Select Install App.
  4. From the Select Country ▼ dropdown menu, select your eBay site country. Then select Continue.
  5. To let QuickBooks Commerce connect to your eBay account, select Agree.
  6. To share your eBay account data with QuickBooks Commerce, Hit the Agree and Continue.

If you haven’t yet, you'll need to sign in to your eBay account.

You can use this article through this process: Connect eBay to QuickBooks Commerce.

To learn more about connecting your eBay seller account to QBO, please review this handy article: Connect to eBay Managed Payments with QuickBooks Online.

If you have any further questions or concerns about integrating e-Bay to QuickBooks Commerce, please know that you can always tag my name. I'm here to help you in any way I can. Enjoy your day!

Thank you! Is commerce accounting a replacement for the ebay payments app? The faqs reads like it works the same way now for US sellers.

eBay Payments Stopped Working Again

Wow, just took a look at it, and it appears to be a replacement, or evolution?

I just disconnected the old tired plugin, and signed into this one, and can say I was able to update my books!

it acts a lot like the old one, but now has a fancy tab with extra information to digest.

Two things I'm just noticing off the bat are missing is the ability to manually select update, and the option to disconnect the sales channel if I wanted to. Not saying it is a bad thing, more so an observation.

If someone did want to disconnect, how would they go about it?

Looking promising guys!

I appreciate you guys for taking the time to reach out here in the Community for assistance, @WaitingStill @sulu7.

@WaitingStill, Commerce accounting isn’t a replacement for the eBay Payments app. It’s another way to manage your transactions. QuickBooks Commerce allows you to list and handle products and events across multiple channels, all from one place.

@sulu7, disconnecting applications in QuickBooks is just a breeze. You can simply go to your Apps transactions menu to do it. I’ll show you the steps:

  1. Open your QuickBooks account.
  2. Select your Banking menu.
  3. Go to App transactions.
  4. Locate the said tool, then disconnect it.

In case you’d like to email your expense receipts and bills to get them into QuickBooks Online, you can bookmark this article: Email receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online. Then, you can review and categorize them into the correct accounts.

Don’t hesitate to visit this thread if you need further assistance with the applications. We’ll always be here to help. Keep safe!

It supports eBay. You can try it

You may also consider to utilize the trial version of a backup restore app to lower any risk.

Checking in to see how everyone is doing having switched over to "commerce"

It has been working for me, but last few days it looks like it is missing a few payouts.

eBay Payments Stopped Working Again

Thank you for reaching us back, sulu7. Let me share some information about syncing orders between eBay and QuickBooks Commerce.

QuickBooks Commerce checks eBay for updated orders every 10 minutes. QuickBooks Commerce will create an order, an invoice, and a payment if an eBay order has been marked as paid. If a payment method with the same name already exists, a new payment method is assigned to the QuickBooks Commerce order.

You can check out this article for more information: Sync orders between eBay and QuickBooks Commerce.

Have you encountered any eBay errors in QuickBooks Commerce? If you do, you can use this link to help you fix them: Fix common eBay errors in QuickBooks Commerce.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to assist you. I'd be delighted to lend a helping hand. Have a great day!

The problem is it isn't populating The PayOuts under "App Transactions" so I can input them into my books.

eBay Payments Stopped Working Again

This could be a browser-related issue, sulu7.

The outdated stored cached can cause unusual behavior in the QuickBooks Commerce app. Let's access the program via a private window to resolve this.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

Once signed, check if the transactions show. If so, let's clear the browser's cache to improve the program's performance.

You can use other supported browsers if private browsing doesn't work.

For more details about how eBay and QuickBooks Commerce work, please see these articles:

Additionally, I've added an article that'll help you match your QuickBooks accounts to your bank and credit card statements: Reconciliation Guide.

Please keep us posted if you need additional help synching your transactions. We want to make sure your record is accurate.

That didn't resolve the issue. The issue seems to be very similar to the original issue that was the root of this post being made.

The App Transactions tab isn't populating with payouts to match up with my bank deposits. It was working, but stopped a few days ago.

Same. I highly doubt this is a user issue that we can fix. No error messages on my end. Using the current version of Chrome without add-ons.

I wish I could make it better, sulu7 and WaitingStill.

Since we can't access your account, I'd recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They're equipped with tools to determine why the transactions aren't syncing and provide other solutions to fix this.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help (?) icon at the top.
  2. On the Assistant tab, click Talk to a human.
  3. Enter your concern in the Type something field, then click the send icon.
  4. Click on I still need a human.
  5. Select Get help from a human.
  6. Choose Chat with us or Have us call you.

You can check our support hours beforehand to know their availability.

Additionally, I've added an article that'll help you review your transactions and put them in the correct accounts: Categorize and Match Bank Transactions.

Please keep us posted on how it goes. It's our priority to ensure you're able to track your transactions accurately.

Just curious, has anyone tried the 'ol trick of disconnecting and reconnecting eBay to see if the payouts start flowing again?

Thank you!

Decided to use myself as the test dummy :)

I disconnected and reconnected. It did connect again and import, but much to my surprise, it didn't find the missing payouts. The same payouts that were missing prior, are missing now.

Could this be a bug / different problem? Is there a way it can be reported here?

If someone else has any data to input, add it here :)

Thanks for keeping us updated about your sync situation, @sulu7.

Since the troubleshooting steps provided didn't fix the issue, it would be best to contact our support team. They have enough tools to determine the root cause of the issue and provide more solutions. They can also perform further investigation about it if need be.

Please know that reporting a case requires personal information, which can’t be done here in the Community for security reasons. Thus, we recommend our QuickBooks users to reach out to our support for a timely response. Make sure to check our support hours so you can connect with us quickly and at a time convenient to you. Then, follow the instructions given by CharleneMae_F to reach out to us.

I’ve also added this video reference to bring you up to speed in managing downloaded online transactions in the program: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. It has a reconciliation guide at the bottom to ensure amounts are balanced and moved into the right accounts.

eBay Payments Stopped Working Again

Last time we were having issues, one of the support members here on the forum were able to have someone internally reach out. I've made two phone calls already, and both got me no where. On the second call when I was told "call ebay as they need to correct the problem" I just flat out hung up. I know it was rude, but considering I've been going through this since June, and the problem has been always confirmed to be on the back end, I just couldn't put myself through days of phone calls hoping I hit the lottery. It's not fair to me or anyone else as a customer.

I was hoping the support personnel on here could PLEASE have QBO Care reach out to me to help open a new case. Preferably, the person I dealt with last time was "Phil".

I would like to work with him again if possible. I'm really hoping the forum support can come through like they did last time and get me (and everyone here who is now patiently waiting AGAIN) through this.

Thank you

eBay Payments Stopped Working Again

Hello there, sulu7.

Thank you for reaching back out to us here so that we can help! I did some searching and can see that this issue has been formally reported and is actively being investigated by our engineering team.

To make sure this is the same one you're experiencing, do you receive the error "There was a problem updating your transactions! Please try again later." when trying to bring in eBay data?

If so, know that our team is working on a fix and it should be resolved ASAP. Let me know here if that error matches, and I can add you to the list of impacted users so that you'll receive an email as soon as a fix is found.

eBay Payments Stopped Working Again

This time around I am using ebay under the "commerce" tab as opposed to the old "plugin"

While I am not receiving an error on screen, that error you are mentioning was the error that initially started this thread, and the symptoms I am having now usually were in line with that error showing up. It appears with the new "commerce" section, any errors are suppressed.

The last record "Payout" under the "commerce" section was from the 25th, and even then there were a few missing from that period.

Hope that made sense. What is the investigation number the engineering team has assigned to this issue this time and can I as well as anyone else here who may chime in with the problem be added to it?

I appreciate you for coming back to the thread and adding further details about your concern, sulu7. I'll ensure to share the exact INV of what our previous agent was referring to.

The Investigation number that our engineering team has been assigned to data eBay issue is INV-76452. Please know that you have already been added to INV being mentioned and new users may chime in. Then, they may need to call support our support to be added so they can automatically receive an email about the status of the issue.

Lastly, I'm adding this article to see different eBay errors and how to resolve them: Fix common eBay errors in QuickBooks Commerce.

Please know It's my priority that you're able to get back to running your business. I'm only a few clicks away if you need me again, sulu7. Have a great day!

Thank you for that information. Please refresh my memory, is that INV number the same as the first one, or is this a new one ?
