Buy nowAs some of you know QBs is discontinuing it's POS. I also have QB Enterprise and want to know if I can use it for my retail flooring & furniture stores. I pay my sales reps commission on delivered goods. I will need info on how to close out a customer order, so I can pay commission. Can QB do a commission report on these sales or do I need another software app? Right now all I use my Enterprise for is financial reporting. I do not have any inventory or services setup in it. POS does a financial exchange on customer info, vendor info, and payments to Enterprise.
Congratulations on making your first post here, @galvfloor.
Thank you for using QuickBooks as your reporting tool. I'd be glad to share the process of recording sales transactions and pulling up a report for commissions.
Yes, Intuit will no longer support QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale software. The discontinuation includes the security patch updates and Payments and Connected Services. Visit this page for the product update: Discontinuation of QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale FAQs.
In QuickBooks Desktop, we can create a sales order that you can convert to an invoice and then receive its payment to close the transaction. Not to worry, I'll share their differences to track items and sales seamlessly.
Create a sales order for a vendor to confirm if they can provide the goods or services requested. Once the buyer receives them, use an invoice to request payment. We'll link the earnings to these transactions.

Consider having a sales commission app to integrate with QB Desktop. Each rep gets an online dashboard with goals and payouts. You can create complex incentive plans, run one-shot calculations across all reps and eliminate commission spreadsheets. It also ASC 606 accounting compliance. The subscription fee start at $30/user/month.
Thank you so much. I will look into this.
I am going to check this out and see if it works for me.

Thank you for updating on the thread, liquor2005. QuickBooks Point of Sale has a different setting to verify your data. I'll help you navigate it so you can continue manage your files.
To run the Verify Data tool and check for any integrity issues, follow these steps:
If an error message appears, I'd recommend you run the Clean Up Company Data option found under Utilities in your File menu. This will help repair any damage to transactions and lists in your file.
