I have at least three different clients/environments/applications that are getting
The certificate was revoked by its certification authority.
Seems likely this is an issue on Intuit's side somewhere.
Anyone have an real information or status?
I am having this same issue. I have tried the uninstall and reinstall and it is not working.
This is definitely something going on at Intuit or maybe a certification authority. I tried re-loading the application (inside web connector) and it shows a non-expired certificate, but then gets that revoked error.
Thank goodness I dug deep to find this conversation. I was on my way to find a sledge hammer to fix the problem!! Not sure if this is part of the problem as well, but when I log out of QB, and try to log back in, its telling me only one can be open at a time, and there is nothing else open
Reddit u/fooey posted this developer forum where many are reporting issues.
https://help.developer.intuit.com/s/question/0D54R0000A7WFRvSQO/issues-with-qbd-certificates-us
I went and looked at that forum, and someone said "We are experiencing the same issue and our certificates are 100% valid",
how can we tell if ours is current?
Having the same error, Quickbooks Desktop 21. Started around 3pm PST. Verified that all of our certs are valid. Nothing changed on our end. Intuit support says that they've received a few calls with the same problem.

I am having the same issue in Atlanta Georgia. This is a mission critical device, so I hope Intuit will resolve this before bedtime.
That link says:
“Look at the top bar of the Web Connector window to see the version number. It should be 2.3.0.36.”
Are you really saying that going down a few hundred versions is the fix?
I’m assuming that 240 would be newer than 36.
Is there somewhere that lists the actual up to date versions of web connector? I found a page, but it was still 100 versions behind what I seem to be running.
Same thing here in Texas & we have to do payroll through QB Time by tomorrow evening & nothing will transfer. This is not a good situation
I have two applications that started this at 3PM EST. Need this fixed ASAP!
Intuit posted a fix.
How to fix the error QuickBooks - Application with Revoked Certificate (intuit.com)
It's the same link that @FateCandylaneT posted earlier, but the page has been edited since it was originally posted and now has an actual fix!
This fix is only for current versions (21, 22 & 23). I don't see a fix for older versions. I use version 2020. Does that mean Intuit is screwing us up and forcing us to upgrade?
This fix is only for current versions (21, 22 & 23). What about older versions? We used QB 2020. Does that mean Intuit is forcing us to upgrade?
I understand how frustrating it can be to encounter the Web Connector Application with a revoked certificate, fesquivel2.
Last May 31, 2023, QuickBooks Desktop 2020 software was discontinued, which affected all versions of QuickBooks Desktop. For customers who have not upgraded their software, it's important to note that live technical support is no longer available for integrated services such as QuickBooks Desktop Payroll, QuickBooks Desktop Payments, and online bank feeds. Additionally, discontinued versions will not receive critical security patches and updates. You can check out this article for more information: QuickBooks Desktop 2020 service discontinuation policy.
Also, the article you've provided will only work for the supported version of QuickBooks Desktop. With this, let me provide another instruction to remove the error that keeps popping up. This may or may not work since you're using QuickBooks Desktop 2020. Here's how:
If the same thing happens, you'll want to upgrade your software to a newer version of QuickBooks Desktop from within the program to resolve the issue. Visit this article for the detailed steps: Upgrade QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, or Enterprise.
Once everything is all set, you may want to manage your QBDT account and services with the Customer Account Maintenance Portal (CAMPs). For the complete guide about this process, please see this article: Manage your QuickBooks Desktop subscriptions and services.

Has anyone been able to get this resolved, we have been down since yesterday and Intuit stated back end engineers are aware and working on it and could take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours to fix.
Thank you for your response and the instruction you provided. I will try this later today. And I agree with the QuickBooks Desktop 2020 service discontinuation policy.
But I can't entirely agree. QuickBooks created the issue, which affected all versions of QuickBooks. The point is not because my version is no longer supported. QuickBooks did something and broke the Web Connector, which affected thousands of users. Not only did my two applications use the Web Connector, but Avatax was also affected, which does not use the Web Connector. If a Windows update caused the issue, I can revert back. With QuickBooks, I don't have any option but to upgrade to the new version to continue using Web Connector. But since QuickBooks caused this, QB is responsible for fixing whatever mess they made.
I believe QuickBooks customers deserve more information. Otherwise, I'll file a formal complaint with the state court.
I have numerous customers experiencing an expired certificate warning. Please keep me updated.
Do you know if they have posted a fix for the hosted environment.

I got the same response 20 minutes ago that they are aware of the situation and it will be resolved in 24 to 48 hours. very frustrating
The posted solution did not work for me.
I followed the instructions, but when I clicked the 'File/Update Web Services' menu, Quickbooks froze up.
I am using Quickbooks Desktop Pro (not Enterprise). The link to download the new Web Connector had the word 'Enterprise' in the description. Is the Web Connector for the Pro version the same as for the Enterprise version?
If the new version of Web Connector is intended to work for Pro, then I still need help troubleshooting.
What is the fix if you are hosted by Right Networks?
I see this post is marked Solved. Were you able to get this 'fix' to work? Because I have ran through the instructions a couple times and I still get the Revoked Certificate message.
