Arizona new Withholding Election percentages for 2023 are not in QB desktop payroll

I cannot put the correct holding percentage for an employees Arizona state withholding rate in QB. The rate selection in Quickbook desktop payroll are not the new rates for 2023. When is this change going to be available?

I'll share some information about the new changes to the Arizona withholding, sue1981.

The Senate Bill 1828's passing resulted in changes to Arizona's income tax rates. Our payroll compliance team is reviewing the new tax rate and will add it soon.

We expect to implement the new withholding rates in payroll in January. To prepare, please have your employees complete a new Arizona A-4 form as soon as possible. You can find a copy of the updated tax form on the agency's website.

Also, we always provide payroll updates to our subscribers. These updates contain the most recent and precise rates, calculations, payroll tax forms, and e-file and pay options for supported state and federal tax tables. I recommend updating your tax table every time you pay your employees.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Employees menu, then select Get Payroll Updates.
  2. Click the Download Entire Update checkbox.
  3. Hit Download Latest Update. An informational window appears when the download is complete.

Additionally, please ensure your QuickBooks Desktop is up-to-date with the latest release to get the full functionality of payroll updates. Check out this article for more details: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.

If your employee's workplace changes in the future, I've included this resource to help you set up payroll taxes: Set up employees and payroll taxes in a new state.

You're welcome to post again if you need further assistance with the new change on Arizona withholding. I'll be around to help you.
