You can use the Journal Entry to enter the details of your two employees for March 2020 payroll. Doing this manually, QuickBooks Online tracks your payment totals.
To enter payroll paychecks into QBO, you’ll want to create manual tracking accounts first to track your payroll liabilities and expenses. Here’s how:
You’ll also want to create liability accounts to cover the most common payroll tax situations. Then, create a journal entry. I recommend reaching to your accountant for further assistance with this matter.

Hello, and welcome to the Community, cindyl1.
I'll guide you through the process of creating a paycheck manually in QuickBooks Online Payroll. Here's how it's done:
1. In the navigation bar on the left, go to Workers or Payroll and open the Employees tab.
2. Click on the green Run Payroll button.
3. Choose the worker you'd like to pay, then enter their hours.
4. Use the Preview payroll option to proceed.
5. Select Submit payroll.
6. Hit Finish Payroll.
Now the paycheck you created will be posted to that employee's profile.

I have a payroll check that is recorded in QBO but not reflected on Quickbooks Online Payroll. I tried to enter this paycheck to the online program so that the payroll taxes are included in the Payroll program and pay the IRS when due. I tried to turn off the autopay feature but not sure how, and I can't find a way to record this manual check. Does anyone have any idea how to get this done?
I'm here to guide you in recording the that transactions, paycheck3.
You can turn off the Auto Payroll feature for a period. This way, you'll be able manually add the pay check and keep your books accurate and up-to-date. Feel free to follow these steps in turning it off:
After, you may now create the paycheck for your employee. Alterntively, you can also temporarily pause the Auto Payroll feature for a pay period so you can pay the employee manually. Here's how:

Thank you for the reply. I tried to follow your instructions. When I click on Payroll Settings, it took me to the Payroll box. It indicated that Auto Payroll was on but can't find Edit icon. When I clicked on it, there was no Edit.
I got to Update upcoming payroll Review and managed to enter the manual check. Thank you.
Now I have another question: When I tried to record this check the first time, I voided the entry. It is showing as a negative against the employee's total compensation for the quarter. How can I reverse or delete this voided check?
Thank you.

Hi there, Paycheck3.
When you void a paycheck, QuickBooks will create an adjustment entry with a negative value to offset it. This makes both the original paycheck and the adjustment indelible.
You can contact our QBO Payroll Support to help you with the tax adjustments.
Let me know if you have other questions in mind. Take care and have a good one!
This is exactly what I want to do but the options I see in your tutorial I do not have in my QuickBooks online . Do I have to activate something first?
Greetings, @Lisarbennett.
