If you have only viewed the W-2 form, you can still go back to the employee's profile and correct the necessary information. Once you've finalized the details, you can already submit it: File W-2 forms.
If you have already submitted the W-2 form, you'll need to file a Form W-2c accompanied by Form W-3c. Make sure you've corrected the information inside QuickBooks Online. You can get these forms through the IRS website. Then, submit them manually. You can use this article to know more about amending the W2 forms: Correct or amend W-2 forms.
You can also contact our Payroll Support Team to see if they have additional options. They can pull up your account and will provide more information about the submitted form.
- Click Help in the upper-right corner and select Contact Us.
- Enter the details of your payroll concern and click Let's talk.
- Select how you want to reach them.
- Enter the necessary details to complete your request.
