Will we use the same payroll items --all the many "Cares Retentions Wages" "Cares Retention Health Credit" etc eto to get 3rd and 4th qtrs 2021 to come thru correctly on Form 941 now that credit is under American Rescue Plan Act vs the old Cares Act? I really do not want to reenter my entire payroll AGAIN when quarter ends to make 941 populate correctly as we had to in 2020.

There are 2 separate places on the 941 for CARES Retention & Sick wages paid. Are we to assume they will just be lumped together & that is okay with the IRS?

The IRS will provide taxpayers with additional guidance on those provisions for the newly enacted American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. With that said, we at Intuit are also waiting for their update before we provide instructions about this new payroll item.
