Buy nowWhen will Intuit be updating the 941 form to include Non-Qualified Tips earnings in box 2 of the 941 form? Without them the form is wrong.
From what I can tell, the first quarter form is due in 8 days. So, there's not a lot of time left.
The latest payroll update, 22608, includes a note on the "Update News" report that the 941 has been updated, but doesn't give any indication at all as to what was updated, and so it's completely useless. And the form still doesn't include Non-Qualified Tips earnings in box 2.
Hi BigRedConsulting, I understand your sentiment. Since you have the latest payroll update, please ensure your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is on the most recent release to get the up-to-date information.
If the issue persists after these updates, I recommend contacting our QBDT live support team so they can review this more closely and provide a direct resolution.
Please let us know if you have any further questions as you go through this process.
RE: I understand your sentiment.
My sentiment? Sentiment refers to a view, attitude, or opinion, often colored by emotion or feeling. I didn't express a sentiment. I just asked a question of you, of Intuit. One that only you can know because only you know when you're planning an update.
RE: Since you have the latest payroll update, please ensure your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is on the most recent release to get the up-to-date information.
It is. Which naturally didn't change anything because payroll form updates rarely require a QuickBooks application updates to work, and when they do the tax table update news says so - all of which you should know.
RE: If the issue persists after these updates, I recommend contacting our QBDT live support team so they can review this more closely and provide a direct resolution.
I'm not going to waste my time contacting live support because they can't do anything, except perhaps answer the question.
Instead, you could just go ahead and do your job and figure out the answer to the question so that everyone here can know when Intuit will be getting around to updating the form so that it shows the correct numbers when a payroll addition or company contribution item with the new Non-Qualified Tips tax tracking type is used.
