Form W-3 not printing full zip code

Our legal address on file with the IRS has a zip code with the 5 digits and a 4 digit extension.  The Form W-3 only prints the first 3 digits of the zip code extension.

I understand the necessity to print the full zip code within your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), DK96.

 

There might be a possibility that your QBDT version and the payroll tax table are not in their latest version. Thus, ensure that your QBDT and tax table are in their latest update.

 

If your QuickBooks Desktop and your tax table are updated yet the issue persists, let's fix this matter using QuickBooks Tool Hub. Using this tool helps fix the common errors when it comes to printing. In addition, ensure that you've installed the most recent version of this Tool hub for a better user experience. 

 

Here's how: 

 

Step 1: Download the most recent QuickBooks Tool Hub version

 

  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.6.0.3) of the QuickBooks Tool HubIf you've installed Tool Hub before, you can find out which version you have. Select the Home tab. The version will be on the bottom.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the steps on your screen to install.
  5. Once done, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

 

Step 2: Run the QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool

 

  1. Within the QuickBooks Tool Hub, click Program Problems.
  2. Select QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool
  3. Print, email, or save as a PDF from QuickBooks Desktop again.

Form W-3 not printing full zip code

Thank you for your response, but that is not the issue.  I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with QB support yesterday and the issue is still not resolved.  It has been sent to the "back end" for further investigation.  The representative I worked with tried resetting everything, insured that I have the latest version and updates, and still no resolution.

Form W-3 not printing full zip code

These are all steps that I went through with QB support.  Nothing has worked.  I was told a manager would return my call, and still no phone call.  This is VERY DISAPPOINTING!  Not the level of support I would expect from a company as large as Intuit Quickbooks.  I am a week away from needing to submit this information and it doesn't seem as though Quickbooks is even slightly concerned about addressing THEIR issue - this is not a printing problem .. it is obviously a failure on QB to allow for the proper spacing on the form.  Even the print preview does not show the proper number of digits.  Our company name is also truncated on the Form W-3.  I have used other services and had no problems printing these forms with full company information.

I've checked our records and there's no reported case about this one affecting some other customers. We recommend contacting our Payroll Care Team. I know you already contacted our support agent and a promised call back from one of our managers, however, this is the best option we can have for them to conduct further investigation. Just provide the case number provided by the agent before for them to review the case and the troubleshooting steps you've performed. Here's how to reach them: 

 

 

  1. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Continue.
  4. Sign in to your Intuit account select Continue and then Continue with my account. If you don't already have an account, make sure to Create a new account.
  5. We'll email you a single-use code. Enter your code and select Continue. If you have more than one account, select the account you want to use and then Continue.
  6. Choose chat with us or Have us call you.
