I'm here to help you with printing your 940 tax form, rhondanwcc.

QuickBooks Online doesn't allow us to print the 940 tax form if we have pending dues for that certain tax. We can go to the Taxes menu to check if you have pending dues, then manually record your tax payment (the payment you made outside the system) so that you can successfully print the form. I'll guide you how:

Select Taxes from the sidebar menu.
Click the Payroll Tax tab.
Under the Taxes section, click the Pay Taxes button.
Next to the payment that you want to pay, select Record Payment.
Click Record Payment.

After recording all the payment, we can now print your 940 tax form. You can follow the steps below:

Select Taxes from the sidebar menu.
Click the Payroll Tax tab.
Under the Forms section, select Annual Tax Forms.
Click the 940 (Employer's Annual Federal Unemployment Tax Return) link.
Hit View.
On the ViewPdfForm page, click the Print icon to print the form.

If you're about to mail your 940 tax form to the IRS, you can refer to this link to know the different mailing addresses: Where to File your Taxes for Form 940.

Hello, renee37.

Let's isolate this case by logging your account using Private/Incognito mode. Browsing privately prevents from storing additional cache files that may be causing the unusual behavior in your account.

Use the following shortcut keys to open a private window:

CTRL + SHIFT + N (Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox)
CTRL + SHIFT + N (Internet Explorer)
CTRL + OPTION + P (Safari).

Once able to open a private browser, try to add trips again. If it works, go back to the main browser. Then, clearing cache and cookies. Additionally you can also use another supported browser in QuickBooks Online.

In case the 940 still doesn't appear in the Annual Tax form, I suggest contacting QuickBooks Online Support, they have the tools to pull up your account and help you isolate this issue.

Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
Go to Help (?).
Click Talk to a human.
Choose Talk to a human.
Enter your concern.
Tap Contact us.
