How do I find the EIN in the app?

Thanks for visiting the Community. I've got you the steps to get your EIN within your QuickBooks Online company.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Choose Account and settings, then click the Company tab.
3. Under the Company name, you can see the EIN.

Why in the heck is it that you can now no longer see the EIN, even when you do the authentication?  This is a huge pain, as I have to go look elsewhere to find it.  Go back to you old version where the instruction you gave above work again!!!

Agree 100%.  Quickbooks seems to have a pattern of "improving" things by making them more difficult, and then charging us more for the added inconvenience.

I cannot believe this issue still has not been fixed!  You cannot view your company's EIN - even after going through the authentication process!  Ridiculous.  This number is needed for each new vendor we sign on.  From reading all the different threads regarding this issue, seems QBO only "fixes" what they deem necessary, not what their subscribers need.  The things that do get fixed, QBO upcharges for the info by adding another tier to the subscription pyramid.  

This method does not work. My only option is to edit the EIN, which I cannot see. What an improvement!

Yes absolutely agree this needs to be accessible! Such a waste of time if not.

agree.  this is terrible.  should be able to see the EIN after authenticating.

I completely understand how frustrating this must be, and you're absolutely right, after authenticating, you should be able to see your EIN. Let’s work together to get this resolved.

To begin, could you let me know if you've encountered any error messages after completing the authentication process? This information will help us identify the most accurate solution.

Please note that for security reasons, only the Primary Admin in QuickBooks can view or edit this number. Another possibility is that the EIN wasn’t added during the initial setup or was removed, meaning you may need to re-enter it manually in your Tax settings.

If you’re certain that the EIN was set up correctly, you can also check previously filed forms in QuickBooks, such as W-2s, where the EIN should appear.

If you haven’t filed any forms yet, I recommend troubleshooting using a private or incognito browser window, as cached data or browser issues can occasionally interfere with functionality. You might also consider using a different supported browser for better results.
