Thanks for reply. QB has aware of this error-Payroll- NY, PA, NC, OH and NV Quarterly Form Display Incorrect Total and Excess Wages Calculations. QB is working on them and QB will notify me when they have fixed the error to allow for e-file.
Hello,
There is a problem with Form NYS-45 (Page #2, Part C) that prevents e-filing. I spoke to QBS about week ago and they were supposed to fix the problem. There is massage about Payroll Update 22504 to be released today 01/23/2025. I hope it will address the issue. Due date to submit 4QT2024 form is within just few days. QBS keeps increasing their prices (almost 300% every year!) and they are terrible with any support.
Derek,
I just ran an update, but I do not see QB Payroll Update 22504 released today, 01/23/2025. I am still on version 22501.
Has anyone been able to update the QB Payroll Desktop version? Also, could you confirm the latest available update?
I am checking whether the 4Q2024 NYS-45 e-filing errors have been fixed as of 01/23/2025, 10:38 PM.
Yes. Nys said they didn’t get my Q3 filing. I called qb and got a ticket number but never heard from them. I manually filed to save my butt. Now I can submit my January taxes. The error I get is that it’s too far in the past!
I am having an issue with the March 31, 2025 NYS45 - gives me error 539 and I have updated and restarted several times!
Thank you for diligently updating your account and attempting a restart, BLSmithka. I understand how challenging it can be when issues persist despite these efforts. A possible reason for the problem you're experiencing could be that the Employer Identification Number (EIN) you're using is not linked to your payroll service. QuickBooks Team KiazzymaeC does not have a clue about the problem. In March 2025 NYS DTF has upgraded their payroll report online system. Filing Forms NYS-1 & NYS-45 were temporary suspended by NYS for a few days. Intuit / QuickBooks was supposed follow the the lead and update their QBS payroll service to be inline with NYS DTF new updated requirements. QBS was not able to submit NYS-1 for more than 2 weeks ! QBS Form NYS-45 is still down for that reason. The new version of NYS-45 is now within QBS payroll system but we are still all waiting for QBS to fix the problem so NYS-45 can be e-filed. Deadline to submit NYS-45 for 1QT2025 is within next 2 weeks. Most of QuickBooks Support Team do not know anything about it. Like in the past years, Intuit only cares about rising fees. Now very much all QuickBooks and payroll service fees are up 100% every year !!! Just greedy. The customer support does not exist. It is time to check competition...
My NYS 45 submittal for 1st quarter rejected as well. So what we have to go to NYS and file directly and not use the service on Quickbooks? When will they updated the new standard for NY 45 and NY 1 for NYS?
Anne
My 1st Qtr NYS 45 was filed and rejected and my accountant and i can't find any reason why that would be happening. Please let me know if anyone finds a solution!
My NYS 45 was rejected as well. After my accountant and I both cannot find reasons why, please let me know if anyone finds a solution!
Subject: NYS-45 Rejection Issue – Lack of Communication from QB
Hi kgrimes1,
I called and spoke with the Enhanced Payroll technician and his supervisor last Friday regarding the NYS-45 rejection issues I’ve been facing—which appear to be the same issues that many QuickBooks (QB) users are currently experiencing.
They informed me that the latest tax table version 20508 should resolve the NYS-45 rejection problems. Following their instructions, I re-submitted two NYS-45 forms on Friday, April 18. As of today, these files are still pending submission to the agency. I hope they will be accepted soon.
I truly wish there was better communication between QuickBooks and us, the users, regarding timely updates on the NYS-45 rejection issue. At the very least, a daily update would help ease confusion and prevent panic among users.
It also seems that the QB support staff answering calls are not receiving the latest information from the internal QB programmers who are working to fix the issue. Perhaps if we all raise our concerns loudly enough, QB management will finally improve communication and transparency.
Improved communication could help reduce thousands of repetitive support calls from users experiencing the same issue. Please share any updates related to NYS-45 so that all QB users can help one another, rather than relying solely on QB—which, so far, has not provided an acceptable response to this ongoing rejection issue.
I did the most recent update payroll 22508, then recreated the NY45 file and submitted it again. It took several days to be accepted, but it finally was. So hopefully this update has solved the rejection problems for NYS 45 combined with NY-1 forms.
In the meantime I filed directly with NYS, so now I will have a duplicate on file.
Hope this helps everyone with this issue.
Anne
