I'm here to provide some details about your Direct Deposit hold concern, @alphacarehs-gmai.
If your payroll account is on hold for insufficient funds, Intuit sends an email to the address on file going over what happened and what needs to be done to fix it.
Your message will have one of the following subject lines:
- Important: Direct Deposit Payment Unsuccessful. Urgent Issue with the Payroll Account for [business name]
- Intuit Payroll Services Action Required: Payment Request for Failed Payroll Debit
- Intuit Payroll Services Action Required: Partial Payment Received
- Important: Tax Payment Unsuccessful. Urgent Issue with the Payroll Account for [Business Name here]"
When an NSF return occurs, Intuit will attempt to redebit the account the same day it was received. Your payroll service will be put on hold for 5 business days to confirm our redebit goes through successfully. You'll receive another email from Intuit letting you know if the redebit was successful or not.
If it was successful, you don't need to do anything on your end. Intuit will remove the hold on your account and you can continue processing payroll again.
I've also included a detailed resource about working with non-sufficient funds holds which may come in handy moving forward: Resolve a non-sufficient funds (NSF) hold
Keep me posted on how this goes and feel free to leave a reply below. I'm always around the corner to provide further assistance. Have a great day ahead.
