I have not received a payroll tax notification to set them for epay

Good day, sonnygoswamy.

Are you trying to pay your federal taxes? If so, you can pay them via check or through the EFTPS website.

To use the E-File and E-Pay feature in QuickBooks Online, you can follow the steps below to complete the enrollment:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner and select Payroll Settings.
  2. Go to E-file and E-pay.
  3. In the E-pay and E-file Setup page, select E-file and e-pay (recommended).
  4. Select Federal taxes and your state.
    • If your state is not showing from the list, see Electronic services offered by states if we support e-file and pay for your state.
    • If you need to enroll an additional state later on, go back to this page and select the new state.
  5. If you have not connected your bank account yet, enter the bank account info to proceed with the connection. See Connect your bank to online payroll for assistance.
  6. Select E-sign to sign your documents. You can choose to print and sign the documents but make sure to contact us to send it.
  7. If you have selected E-sign, you will go through a series of questions to complete and pass. If you failed, you will be asked to print, sign, and send the documents. Contact us to send the documents. From the Help section in your online payroll, select Contact us to connect with a payroll support.

I can guide you on where you find the payroll tax due on your account, sonnygoswamy.

Once you paid your employees, the Payroll Tax Center displays taxes that are due with their due dates and e-payment cutoff dates. You can go to the Pay Taxes screen to access them.

Here's how:

  1. Click Taxes on the left side menu.
  2. Choose Payroll Tax.
  3. Tick the Pay Taxes button.
  4. Then, the Pay Taxes page will show payroll tax amounts that you owe to various taxing authorities and when the payments are due.

You can also preview how much you owe by printing the Payroll Tax Liability report. Just click the View Your Tax Liability Report link on the Payroll Tax Center page.

Another way to access the overdue taxes is by going to the To Do List section. You can click the Workers tab on the left menu and choose Overview. Under the TO DO List section, you can see all the payroll tax duelist with the Pay overdue taxes message.

You can also go to the Dashboard menu and access the Tasks section.

I've provided screenshots for your reference.

For more details about paying and filing your payroll taxes, you can check out this article: Pay and file payroll taxes electronically.

Keep me posted if you need anything else with running payroll in your account. I'll be here to help.

This response totally missed the point of the question.

They know how to pay the tax and how to see the liability report, the point is that the payroll was run and the "pay tax" button is normally there right away, but it is not.

They do not want to wait two, three or more days to complete the task.

This seems to be a random issue that happens some weeks, but not all the time.

Engineering needs to take a look at this.
