I'm trying to e-file the KS Uemployment Report

It tells me to get the latest payroll update (which I've done 3 times now), but it still won't e-file my KS Unemployment report.  I've closed QuickBooks and reopened, I've updated the desktop version and reset, but nothing is working.  I did 3 different clients yesterday, but today this one is not working.

Thanks for explaining your concern in such great detail, Western Girl.

 

I have here some steps that can help you e-file your unemployment report. 

 

Please ensure to use E-File as the state tax forms filing method so you can electronically file them.

 

Here's how to do that:

  1. Choose Employees, and select Payroll Center.
  2. On the File Forms tab, under Other Activities, select Change Filing Method.
  3. In the QuickBooks Payroll Setup window, select Continue.
  4. Select the state form to modify, and select Edit.
    Note: Forms that can only be E-filed or can only be Printed may not appear in the list.
  5. In the Filing Method section, select E-file and select Finish.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Select Finish Later.

 

Since you already updated your payroll, I wanted to ask if you encounter any errors? If the issue persists, I recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care Team. This way they can check why you're experiencing this kind of issue.

When I tried once again to upload the report, this time it magically got accepted.  So I guess it was a temporary problem on the part of Intuit and they fixed it?  Thanx for your assistance.  I'm keeping your response for future reference, in case it happens again.
