Join nowI do payroll for a church using QB desktop and the Desktop Enhanced PR. I want to set up direct deposit however there is no "primary principal", since no one owns a church and with the exception of the minister and an admin assistant no one is paid on a salaried basis. As is standard the minister is not a signatory on checks. Council members serve on a variety of committees and change on a regular basis and are not paid. How can I do this? Whom do I contact?
We can choose either one of your representatives or you to be the primary principal, nikipatton.
Before setting up direct deposit, make sure that the Business Name, address, and EIN of the company are ready on hand. Also, prepare the principal officer's SSN, birth date, and home address. Additional to that, their online bank credentials or routing and account numbers.
Once ready, you're good to connect the bank account. Let me guide you how:
Afterward, we'll have to set up your members bank account information. Then, you're good to pay them.

I am fine being the primary principal since I am the payroll administrator and contact on the payroll account, however I do not sign checks. I do access the online banking function. Is that sufficient? The other representatives may not be in their positions for any extended length of time.
