I appreciate the answer and this may help with another question I have but wasn’t the answer I was looking to receive on the question I had posted.
My question was how to see the payroll deductions on a ‘fake’ paycheck without running a payroll. I wanted to see if I raised an employee’s salary what the tax withholding would be prior to changing the salary.
I appreciate the help but I was wanting to prepare a ‘fake’ paycheck outside of payroll to see the tax withholding prior to changing the pay.

There's no option to create a dummy paycheck outside of the Payroll menu. You can run a sample paycheck to view the taxes and not save it. Here's how:
