NC's new unemployment tax sytem-NCSuits is going live 11/13/23 replacing their old mainframe. Will QB online payroll update to file the forms and payments there?

Has there been any updates? Do we need to resign any paperwork or add QBO as an agent in the NCSUITS system?

Intuit is already aware of this change. As mentioned by my colleague @FritzF, this will be added to QuickBooks Online (QBO) as soon as it is made available. Although we don't have an exact timeframe for when this will materialize in QuickBooks, rest assured you'll receive an update.

For now, you don't have to send the notification you received to us. Our engineers are already aware and are working on this.

Any updates on the QB Desktop for this?  I am using QB Pro Plus 2021 with enhanced payroll. 

Editing the old excel document that QB offers to fit the new NCSUITS CSV file is a nightmare and confusing.  Hoping to get an update before I had to do this in January!

As provided by my colleague, MariaSoledadG, Intuit has been notified about this update, and it will be integrated into QuickBooks Online (QBO) as soon as it becomes available. Although we don't have a specific timeframe for implementing this, we will keep you informed and provide updates as necessary. 

Our engineers are already aware of the notification you received and are working on it, so there's no need to send it to us for now.

I need to know in the next few days are the NC new unemployment tax systems-NC Suits going to incorporated into the payroll tax updates for QuickBooks Desktop 2023 and, if so, what date we can expect these updates by?  Thank you very much for your help with this issue.

Thank you for your response and my hope that this is taken care of sooner than later.  4th Quarter 2023 NCCDES NC SUI filings are due on 1/31/2024.  I assume that QuickBooks is aware of this due date.  

I just spent 45 min on phone with QB rep and they could not answer why my file format was not working when I tried to upload the text file that has always worked. 

I spent past hour on 2 chats and the last one sent me to a dcoument on how to convert TXT to a CSV file.  Looks like QB has not updated the system to be compliant with the NC SUI changes that went info effect in November.  

need to notify your reps answering phone and chats.  3 calls past 2 days and they are not aware of this. 

Talked with QB again   planning on a fix by this Friday.  stay tuned, 

Fingers and toes crossed.  I will  believe when I see it.  It has been a frustrating month dealing with Intuit on numerous issues QuickBooks/Proseries.  In the next few days I will be writing a letter to Intuit's President Sasan Goodarzi and emailing it to her expressing my frustration with continuing issue in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online and Proseries.  Do not think it will help with any of these issues but will at least it will get these issues out on the table with someone that should be able to do something about it!

How dare they mark this as "Solved" when absolutely nothing has been done to resolve the issue!

For the record, Desktop Enterprise phone support still has NO clue about this issue as of today (Jan 11).  After eventually putting me on hold for a very long time, came back and said that I can keep doing it the normal way and if it needs to be changed, Quickbooks will change it automatically - sigh. Really doesn't seem to understand at all.

Oooh and she just followed up with "that's not something Quickbooks would be able to help you with, you would have to contact the state unemployment department to help you upload the form". You just have to laugh to keep from crying!

So...how are we to send our information to NCSuits?

You are addressing QBO, but what about the desktop version?

I agree.  It seems like to me that QBO and Desktop payroll staff do not talk to each other on issues like this.  The only change I can see made in Desktop document in today's new update is that the three digits are being added to the NCCDES account number but there is nothing addressed about creating the 1 of the 3 file types accepted by NCCDES in the upload of wages process.  I wish someone at a higher level would address this issue ASAP.

I ended up entering all of my wage data manually in NC Suits as it simply CANNOT be uploaded currently if you're a QuickBooks user. 

I can't even get the update.  I received email to be sure and get update 22402 but when I try to update, QB just keeps insisting that I have the latest payroll update: 22401.  I bet they think the problem is solved now by telling us to check the account # format lol.
