I have a client with full service payroll and QuickBooks was showing the the 941N was filed for Nebraska quarterly reports, but the Nebraska Department of Revenue was not ever receiving them. I contacted QuickBooks and was told that Nebraska was not compatible with QuickBooks. I have never seen any other reference that Nebraska wouldn't work within the payroll information. Can anyone tell me if they have had success with Nebraska forms? I find it hard to believe that this wouldn't work.

Intuit files only those forms that are required for your company by each state or local tax agency.
In QuickBooks Online Payroll Full Service, Intuit Online Payroll Full Service, all state withholding and unemployment taxes and forms, new hire reporting, and local taxes.

I'm following back up on this. The Quickbooks payroll shows that the Nebraska state 941N form has been filed, but the Department of Revenue is never receiving the form. According to Quickbooks customer service (phone help), I was told that the Quickbooks forms weren't compatible with the Nebraska Department of Revenue. Again, I find this hard to believe, but I would like some clarification if this is true?

All QuickBooks Online Payroll subscriptions support filing withholding and unemployment forms for Nebraska.
I see you're saying that you've spoke with our Customer Care team about this, but I'd recommend continuing to get in touch with them. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research into the filed form, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

I've been fighting with this for over a year now. The State of Nebraska doesn't like the way Quickbooks submits the Employer ID #. Quickbooks insists on having it start with a 2 and it must start with a 1. NDOR won't fix this and blames QB, and QB won't fix it and blames NDOR. Maddening! They won't talk and refuse to change anything. So, the NDOR keeps rejecting the returns and the customer has to submit them online using the payroll tax summary report by quarter. For some bizarre reason, QB won't let you review the rejected form and has no record of it on my end. Sometimes, if you're lucky NDOR will out of the blue accept a return submitted by QB. Otherwise, you have to do it yourself. WH payments seem to be accepted, although I've had some of mine get posted to an old WH acct that has been defunct for 7 years. So frustrating...

We are having the same problems. Unfortunately, I do our bookkeeping evenings and weekends, so cannot use the QuickBooks support as it is only available while I am working my full-time job. I would be interested to know if there is a solution to this.

I appreciate your interest in filing your withholding forms with QuickBooks, and I understand that you're unable to contact our support for some reason. That said, I'll throw in some clarifications to ensure they are processed.
We’re currently unable to e-file your 941N and W-3N in Nebraska. The only filing method available is to print and mail them. This means you’ll get a signature-ready form to be printed, signed, and mailed to the tax agency.
The payment methods for the 941N filing are ACH credit or check. While you can only use a check for the W-3N filing.

We have the same issue... I know this post is from a year ago but did you ever get a resolution? Kind of upsetting when we pay what we pay for QuickBooks to take care of our payroll for us and yet we still get letters in the mail from Nebraska stating we have not filed. I am about to just be done with QuickBooks and use something else that can fully accommodate us, especially with the crazy cost!
