Pay Stub Pay Items--sort

Good morning,

The employee is paid hourly plus a vaction wage (union) which is taxed then Deducted from Gross Pay.

The paystub shows the Vacation Wage first, and then the Hourly Wage.  I'd like the stub to show the]

Hourly Wage first, and then the Vacation Wage afterr.

The pay items are named:

150 ST Hrly Class I

OP 150 Vacation Wage

I have the pay items it listed in the employee's "Payroll Info" this way, and when I enter payroll, I also enter it in this order.

How do I get it to show on the paystub  in this order?

Thank you,

QBDT Premier 2019

I can share with you some ways on how to sort your pay stub items in QuickBooks, @FMW.

We can change the order of columns to show the Hourly wage first and following the vacation wage after. To do this, here's how:

  1. Select the  Employees menu.
  2. Choose the Payroll Center.

  3. Click Start Unscheduled Payroll.

  4. Under Enter Payroll Information, choose Show/Hide Columns.

  5. Remove the default columns first and add them based on your desired order.
  6. Click OK to save the changes.

Pay Stub Pay Items--sort

Hello @FMW,

Thank you for posting here in the Community. I can share some clarification regarding the Desktop version's capability.

Currently, an option to change the order of the items in a paystub is unavailable. The system automatically sorts them when you create paychecks for your employees.

Though, it would be beneficial to have this ability in the product, too. Our engineers might be working to bring this feature over to this platform in the future.

As we assess this, I suggest you visit our New Features section for product updates (see screenshot below).

For additional reference, you can use the following article to add or remove information from a pay stub in QuickBooks: Customize a paycheck layout or pay stub.
