Payroll Processing

I want to know if there is a way to not print check stubs when payroll is run for direct deposit employees who are using QuickBooks Workforce ~

Also – when I go to process payroll all of the hours show up for every employee except one – this happens every time – and I have to key in his hours before finalizing – any ideas why?

Payroll Processing

Hello there, @RegenaJames. Thanks for reaching out.

When running payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you have the option not to print paychecks/paystubs. You can ignore the workflow that prompts in guiding you through how to print out paychecks and pay stubs after finishing payroll.

As for your other concern about processing payroll in which all of the hours show up for every employee except one, I can see that you posted twice about this. And one of my colleagues responded and provided some troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem. Have you performed the recommended solution? If not, I suggest doing so. You can visit this link for more information: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/other-questions/re-payroll/01/1137843#M111531.

However, if the issue persists, can you add more details about how you enter time? Is it via single timesheet or weekly timesheet? Any information is much appreciated for me to give the solutions for you.

In addition, if you need to run payroll reports in the future, here's an article for your guide: Run payroll reports. It includes all the lists of payroll reports available in QuickBooks Online.

I'll be looking forward to hearing back from you. I'll do whatever it takes to make sure your problems are addressed. Have a great day.

At what point do I choose not to print paychecks/paystubs?

Regarding my other issue, I tried the troubleshooting tips and I still get the same results.  His time is entered on a weekly time sheet just like everyone else.

Hi there, RegenaJames. Thanks for following up with the Community.

You can choose when to not print paychecks/paystubs whenever you deiced to not print any. If you'd prefer to print them, you also have that option.

In regard to the other thread, I appreciate you performing Rasa-LilaM's troubleshooting steps. To verify you're using a supported version of one of our supported browsers, here's a detailed list of what browsing applications and versions Intuit supports:

  • Google Chrome - version 78 or newer
  • Mozilla Firefox - version 76 or newer
  • Microsoft Edge - version 75 or newer
  • Safari - version 12 or newer
  • Opera - version 68 or newer
  • Samsung - version 10 or newer

You can also check a browser's compatibility with QuickBooks by utilizing our browser health checkup tool. QuickBooks supports the current and two previous versions of browsers. If you find that you're using an unsupported version, make sure to update it to its latest release. Steps for doing so can be found on the particular company's website.

In the event you've found no problems that could be causing this with your browser, I'd recommend using a different device and/or internet connection. If it continues happening on other devices and/or internet connections, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up the account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

They can be reached while you're signed in.

Here's how:

  1. Use the Help (?) icon.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Enter a description of your situation in the What can we help you with? field, then hit Let's talk.
  4. Select Start messaging or Get a call.

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.

I've also included a detailed resource about system requirements for QuickBooks which may come in handy moving forward: System requirements

I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful day!
