Our company is based in NC. We had an employee quit and move to Alabama. In order for her to receive her W2 I went into QB payroll and changed her address. Now QB is showing past due payroll items for quarterly taxes for Alabama, showing for the 4th qtr 2019 and 1st qtr 2020. I don't know how to get rid of this as we don't owe these, I just changed an address. Guess I shouldn't go in and change addresses if someone moves out of state?
Any help appreciated.

Thanks for actively responding, @DB59. At the moment, we don't have the option to delete the overdue task reminders on your dashboard.
You can ignore the task for now as it will be removed automatically by the system after 6 months if there are no actions taken. You may also give our Payroll Support team a call for further assistance if it's too long for you to wait.

Hi there, @DB59.
Thanks for visiting the Community today. I appreciate you for sharing detailed information on your concern.
Since your employee has already resigned, there isn't a need to edit the employee's address on file as QuickBooks sends the employer's W-2 copies to the respective tax agencies and posts rather than mail W-2's to your employees.
To get rid of the Alabama quarterly tax dues, I'd recommend you revert the employee's address. Then, manually print a copy using the QuickBooks compatible W-2 form and send it through the mail.
Here's how:
For further instructions, check out this article: How to print W-2s forms.
I've also added an article to give you insights about the convenience of having your employees view and print their paychecks and W-2's online: View your paychecks and W-2s online in QuickBooks Workforce.

My issue is the quarterly tax forms that showed up for Alabama when I changed the former employee's address. The W2 is fine and not a problem. I have changed the employee's address back to North Carolina but the payroll items are still showing up. Is there a way to get rid of these items as no taxes are due for Alabama. I have attached screenshots for you to view. Thanks.

Hello,
I just received a notice that our 1st quarter income tax withholding voucher was not submitted to the NC Department of Labor. They have sent us a notice of delinquency and asked us to file a NC-5PX form. We are not sure what happened as we have Quickbooks assissted payroll and have never had to send this form in before as it has been done automatically. What do I need to do at this point?
Randy
