Exactly one year later and is there a solution? A fix?? I am getting the same error. I wonder if moving my version to a newer QBD would help.

Umm...I think this step has been done before, yielding NO results.
I've got the newest version of QB desktop Enterprise and have tried all the suggestions and STILL get the error code 50004. I gave up - so frustrating.
