Buy nowHi there.
I'd be happy to help with your issue, but first I need more information from you. You mentioned that you are having payroll issues with your direct deposit. Could you please provide more details about the specific problem you are encountering with direct deposit? This will help me provide you with the most appropriate solution.
Any additional information you can provide, such as a screenshot or further details, would be greatly appreciated.
I'm looking forward to your reply. Thank you, and have a great day!
Yes, money is out of our account but no employees have a deposit. I'm assuming it was the bank holiday on Wednesday but I was told that would have no impact with people getting paid on Friday.
Can confirm that I had the same issue. Just got a call because the persons card was declined since they expected payroll. Normally Quickbooks would have a message informing me if the direct deposit needed to be run Tuesday, but there was no message. I did look at the direct deposit receipt email and it does have it withdrawing the 21st and paying the 24th. The problem is Quickbooks gave no indication of this when I was running payroll.
Good morning, Dphall1.

A client of mine is also having the same issue with QB desktop payroll. Money came out of my client's account just fine, all but one employee has received their funds today. Not sure why the one employee has not received theirs in particular as no changes have been made on their end with bank info or anything of that nature. The software did not indicate that the holiday had any effect on submittal date and payroll was submitted timely as usual. Their employee called their bank and the bank (BoA) stated that they see nothing pending on their end.
Yes!!! Quickbooks Enterprise did not alert our company of the bank closure for Juneteenth. I called support which any payroll questions goes to the Phillipines, they assured me checks would hit on time. I woke up to my phone blowing up this morning since the paychecks did NOT hit the bank. I asked support how to look up the alert when you don't get the pop up notification and nobody can help with that either, because they don't know!!! I am glad I visited the community where I found that someone posted a calendar for the year of holidays that effect payroll. I feel like this should be emailed to clients every year. Or even every holiday.
Hi Amanda, people with credit unions were not effected since their banks hit a day earlier than normal paydays.
support will not help, do not bother wasting your time. I was on with support an hour yesterday and an hour today with no resolutions other than to cut cash advances to employee's since support said the checks would hit their banks regardless of Juneteenth. They should really have payroll support in the USA where there are technicians that do not have to put you on hold to look try and read resolutions since they do not know what they are doing!
My employees did not get there direct deposits today!!
Getting your employees paid on time is our top priority, juliebglein. I'll share details below.
Please know that your employees' pay will be determined by the time you entered the direct deposit payroll, not by the payment date. These are the different funding times in QuickBooks Online payroll:
You'll want to review when you processed the payroll. Also, you'll want to advise your employee to wait until 5 PM local time to receive the payment.
To learn more about getting your employees paid on time when there’s a holiday, I suggest checking out this article: How do federal holidays affect my direct deposit?
In light of this, I suggest contacting our customer care team. They have the tools that can check your account and verify the status of your direct deposit.
Here's how to reach them:

Well, obviously QuickBooks and Intuit gets a big FAIL for this again in 2025! This Juneteenth is a new holiday and I get notifications for every other federal holiday that may affect my payroll, but absolutely NOTHING was sent regarding the Juneteenth impact! This being a new holiday you would think that it should be one of the most important notifications that would be sent out since many people do not plan for this holiday as yet. Our company does not observe the day and therefore it didn't even come into my thoughts until I started getting phone calls from my employees wondering where there direct deposits are! Now it appears that everyone may be screwed until Monday because they did not hit the bank today! Why in the world would they not ensure that this is taken care of and that a notification is sent out about this affecting our payroll? Now I have many very pissed off employees because they didn't budget to have to wait 3 extra days for their pay! This is ridiculous! Get it together Intuit! I am severely disappointed with this situation!

I pay I paid my employees direct deposit yesterday which was a Thursday which was a federal holiday with what day will they get paid?
To see the payroll alert messages if you didn't receive it, or you dismissed it,
go to Employees > Send Payroll Data. It will be in the lower half of the pop-up window.
Not that it mattered for this holiday, because the message stated it would not affect direct deposits (I have attached a copy of the QB payroll message regarding direct deposits for Juneteenth as received in QB Enterprise desktop).
To see the payroll alert messages if you didn't receive it, or you dismissed it,
go to Employees > Send Payroll Data. It will be in the lower half of the pop-up window.
This is a general statement that is not universally true. I bank at a credit union, and I did not receive my paycheck today, nor did anyone else in our company.
The exact day your employee will get paid depends on your direct deposit funding time in QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP), Maryann.
Since you processed payroll on a Thursday that was a federal holiday, their pay will be processed on the next business day because banks don’t process payments on holidays.
So, if you have a same-day lead time and the direct deposit is processed on Friday before 5:00 PM, your employees should see the funds by the next banking day.
For more details about direct deposit lead time, refer to this article: When to send your direct deposit payroll.
