Join nowThey haven’t gone through for my employees either. I was thinking maybe it was because of the banking holiday yesterday but i am seeing others having delays as well.
Hi there, @pterhaar-pmtmana.
There are no ongoing issues about employees don't receive their direct deposit payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Once you've submitted the payroll two banking days before the check date, funds should be deposited into your employees' accounts by end of the day today.
If your employees won't get their direct deposit, it can be caused by the following:
If there are issues with the bank information, the funds will be rejected and returned to the employer's account. This process will take 2-3 business days after the pay date. If the employee still did not receive the funds by 5 PM after the settlement date, please give out Support Team a call so we can do a direct deposit trace.
If payroll is submitted on a non-banking day or federal holiday, your direct deposit will be drawn from your account the next banking day. Additionally, banks often close on state holidays. You’ll want to double-check with your bank for any state holidays they observe.
You can get more hints about direct deposit lead times through this link: When do I need to submit payroll to pay employees on time?.
Once the payroll is processed and you're ready to pay and file your taxes and forms, you can do it electronically. You can use this link as your reference: Pay and file payroll taxes and forms in Online Payroll.

My employees did not receive their direct deposit today also.
There must be an issue since I am not the only one with my employees not receiving their direct deposit.
Same issue and normally it has already hit there account.
Good Morning @Angelyn_T
To be very specific, I processed payroll for my employees yesterday (11/11/2021 "non-banking day") prior to 5 pm PST. The pay date/scheduled date says 11/12/2021 (today). However, the funds have not been withdrawn from my account and none of my employees have received the deposits.
Assuming none of the following apply:
Should the employees receive the direct deposits today?
I recognize their are many if/and scenarios, but I am really just trying to understand a basic question.
Assuming no other issues, will payroll processed prior to 5pm PST on a non-banking day be direct deposited the next day (a banking day)?
Thank you
Obviously there are many if/and scenarios, but I am really just trying to understand a basic question.
If there no other issues, will payroll processed prior to 5pm PST on a non-banking day be direct deposited the next day (a banking day)?
Thank you
Same on my end too. Got a call from multiple employees saying they haven't been paid.
Hello everyone,
I’ve got some information on why your employees haven’t received their pay.
Due to Veteran's day, customers who processed payroll will experience a delay. If you’re on the same day lead time, your employees will receive their pay by Friday at 5PM. For the next day, employees can expect it by Monday. And anyone who processes payroll on Thursday will have their direct deposit on Monday. See this status update to learn more.
No worries, we are aware of the issue, and now we're working hard to get this resolves as quickly as possible.
You can contact our payroll support if you need further assistance. Here’s how:
I’ve attached this reference to get tips on how to make sure your employees get paid on time when there’s a holiday: How do federal holidays affect my direct deposit?
Don’t hesitate to leave a message if you have any other questions or concerns about payroll. I’ll be here to help. Take care!
