Join nowAllow me to outline the process for adjusting the dates of the payroll cycle, @spencer.
In QuickBooks Online, you can create, assign, or change pay schedules. You need to input the correct end date for the pay period before making any adjustments.
Here's how:
In cases where the payroll has been processed, you can delete the paycheck and then recreate it. This will ensure that the revised pay schedule is reflected when running payroll in QuickBooks.
Here's how:
If you are unable to delete or void, you'll see a message explaining why. Please contact our Payroll Team for help in voiding the paycheck.
Then, you can now create again the paycheck. But please make sure to select the correct period date of the paycheck when creating it. For more guidance, feel free to check out this article: Create paychecks in online payroll.

I don't think I was clear. I am having a problem with the payroll dates. If I pay now, it think my payroll is June 1 to June 30 with paydate 07-15-24. I need to pay a June check for the May 1 to May 31 pay period. When I try to change the information, I get a message telling me that I can't change an upcoming pay period, I need to pay a June check with May pay period. How do I do this ?
