How do I see past employees in my payroll summary report? I'm trying to pull a report from 2018 and I'm missing many employees.

Looking to run a Payroll summary report by employee for Full Year 2018. Need all past employees included.

Hi there, andrew112.

If the employees were not active, let's ensure to include the inactive employees on the report. You can do that by clicking the Customize icon and then selecting All employees on the Employee field.

If the employees are still active, let's try opening the report on an incognito window. There are times that an issue like this occurs when the system encounter a browser-related concerns. We can use these keyboard shortcuts to open one:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

If it works, we can go back to a regular browser and clear its cache. We can also switch to a different supported browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge as alternative.

Also, if you want to print a payroll report, you can check this guide: Print reports.

I'll be around if there's anything that I can help with. Keep me posted.

How do I see past employees in my payroll summary report? I'm trying to pull a report from 2018 and I'm missing many employees.

Hello there.

My client migrated from QB Desktop to QB Online years ago. And when I checked his Employee, nothing's showing up there. I even tried changing the options (Active EE, Inactive EE and All EE) in Employee center but nothing happened. But whenever I do the journal entry, the name of his employees show up. Please help me on this. Thank you.

Hi, haroldbuco.

Let's isolate this unexpected behavior by accessing your QuickBooks account using a private or incognito browser. This helps us roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue. We can use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If the employee details are now showing up, I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate.

If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.

However, if the issue persists, I suggest contacting our phone support team so they can investigate this further. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment.

For more details on the payroll reports available in the system on how to customize them, you can click on the articles below:

Please let me know how this works. I'll be happy to help you further. If you have any other questions about managing employees in QuickBooks. Have a great day ahead.

Hi there. I tried doing that by following your instruction but still, nothing shows up. Is there other way to make them appear?
