Let's update the phone number set up on your QuickBooks Online (QBO) so the security code, will be sent to the new phone number.
Here's how:
- Click the Gear icon at the top.
- Under Profile, pick Intuit account.
- In the left menu, choose Sign in & security.
- Go to the Phone section.
- Hit Change link.
- Enter the new phone number.
- Select Save.
- Then, Sign Out by clicking your name's initial logo at the top.

Once done, to change bank account information for payroll. Check these steps:
- Click the Gear icon at the top.
- Pick Payroll Settings.
- Choose Company under Bank Accounts.
- Hit Update.
- Choose Connect using your routing numbers and account numbers to enter the new bank account information.
- Enter the new bank account information, then Submit.
- We will need to verify your bank account by running a test debit and credit for less than a dollar in 2-3 business days. You can check your email for the instructions. Then, choose OK, got it to finish the process.
- Once done, update your bank account in the export preferences. This ensures the paychecks processed through the new bank account are properly listed in the correct check register.
