Invite Employees to view paycheck

We have a payroll subscription, and our employees have been using ViewMyPaycheck. I have a new employee and need to invite them to get their paystubs online. I can't, however, because in order to do so you have to login to your intuit account through quickbooks. To do that, you have to be an admin. I am not an admin in quickbooks. Am I understanding that I have to get the owner of the company to log in and do this every time I need to set up a new employee? That is ridiculous!

 

Also, I have an employee who can no longer access their paychecks because workforce says they have an admin account. His admin account is from a company he left 2 years ago. What can he do to fix that?

The company admin credentials in QickBooks are linked to QuickBooks Workforce Admin login info. This is the reason why only the company admin can invite employees to view their paychecks online.

For employees who have already admin account from their previous employer, it would be best to contact our Payroll Support Team. They'll check your employee's View My Paycheck account and help you link it to the current employer's QB Workforce account.

 

Here's how to reach them:

 

  1. Click Help on the top menu.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Enter your concern in the Search field.
  4. Tick the Search icon
  5. Tap the Contact Us link.
  6. Choose Get a callback to connect with us.

I understand how the company credentials are linked. However, it is stupid. I know we are not the only company that the person who does payroll/new hires is not the quickbooks account admin holder. Quickbooks only allows one admin. Is there no way around this at all? Can I do it through workforce login online?

Adding another Company Admin in QuickBooks Desktop is currently unavailable. You may need to replace his credentials and add your name as the  new Account Admin.

 

This process requires being on the line with our QuickBooks Desktop Support. This is to ensure you'll be listed as the account holder and able to invite the employees' to view their paycheck.

 

Here's how to reach us:

 

  1. Click Help at the top menu bar and choose QuickBooks Desktop Helpz.PNG
  2. Enter a brief description of your concern then click Contact us.x.PNG

     

  3. To route you to the correct support expert, we need to know what type of question you have. Give a brief description of your issue and click Continue.

  4. We’ll provide you a few options. You choose which one is best for you.
