Manage Payroll Cloud Services

In QB, I am set up as a Secondary Admin for Intuit Account User Management.  I also have roles as Payroll Manager and Payroll Processory.  However, I am unable to access the Manage Payroll Cloud Services link so that I can invite our employees to use the Intuit Workforce portal.  The error message I receive is shown below.  What role do I need to have in order to access Payroll Cloud Services link?

Manage Payroll Cloud Services

Hi RWRobbins,

Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Only the primary admin or an external accountant user can manage the Payroll Cloud Services. I recommend having the admin login to QuickBooks, so you can add employees to your Workforce account.

Feel free to go back to this thread if you have any other concerns. Take care!

Manage Payroll Cloud Services

I've come to help you ensure you'll able to access and manage your payroll cloud services so you can start working with your payroll tasks, Shannan.

With QuickBooks Desktop, issues when signing into your payroll cloud services can be resolved by performing some troubleshooting steps. Let us first ensure your desktop account is up-to-date and payroll tax table is updated to prevent issues when accessing your cloud services.

If the issue persists after updating your file, we can reset your password so you can get back to business. You'll need to confirm some sensitive information as a security step to help you keep going with your payroll activities. If you're unable to remember your login credentials, I'll guide you on how to find them.

  1. Open your desktop file. At the login window, click the I forgot my password link.
  2. Fill in the information on the form that appears.
  3. Click OK. If the information is correct, you’ll receive a code at your registered email address.
  4. Get the code from your email and enter it back in QuickBooks Desktop. QuickBooks will then guide you through creating a new admin password.

If the same thing happens, I suggest contacting our Customer Care Team to help you reset your login information in a safe environment. They have the tools to review your account and provide a potential solution.

Here's how you can contact them:

  1. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Continue.
  4. Choose a way to connect.

Furthermore, I'm sharing this reference to help you create and process your payroll so you can get your team paid. Also, you'll want to run specific payroll reports to help you review your business finances.

I appreciate your continued patience while working on this concern. You can always get back on this thread if you still have additional questions about payroll-related tasks. We've got you covered. Keep safe!

That makes no sense. Payroll manager should be able to do all aspects of their job. You are going to burden a higher level of staff to send out an invite??
